Beer is cold and the food is good. If you’re looking for decent bar/pub food that will show your heart who the boss is, look no further. This is one of the few places that still has a smoking section if you’re one of those that likes to really diminish your life expectancy. That being said… I still come here for the food and the cold beer! 2 for 1 wings on Monday and 2 for 1 boneless wings on Tuesday in addition to kids eating free on Friday will keep it his place in the rotation!

Consistently good in house....take orders are sometimes wrong/missing items so check before you leave. The bar section is smoking but they have excellent ventilation so it's okay for non smokers as long as you are aren't sitting directly next to someone. Glad this place is 1.1miles away from our home. They do need new dart boards....

It would have been 5 stars but the initial interaction with one of the staff members was to say the least, off-putting. The bartender Nicole definitely is a great reason to visit, her service was beyond 5 star, she was literally serving the whole bar and with a great attitude the whole time, she made absolutely delicious drinks that also packed a nice little punch. The food was was great, the atmosphere was amazing and diverse, and the DJ was one of the best. He surprised my friend with a special happy birthday. Went there for the first time to watch ATL United because they are a pub partner. Ten people at the bar and the bartender was playing pool in the back. I got up from the table we we sitting at and finally the bartender noticed me. He told me he couldn't take my order because I was sitting at a table. The waitress he said he would send over never showed up. And people were smoking at the bar. Total deal breaker. I recommend you stay away.

It was a decent experience. They have a few good songs sprinkled in but not a huge fan of the music. We had fries and they came out very fresh but we also asked for waters and didn’t get them. Later we ordered shots of Casamigos with salt and lime. they gave us lime, no salt, and a watery shot of Altos. Probably won’t go again.

Their chicken fingers were delicious! Love the big open bar and dining in one side and more of a family/restaurant area on the other side. Nice patio. The chicken fingers and wings were delicious! The only problem was service was super slow but I get that every restaurant has issues with that now. Enjoyed the Thursday night trivia. We will be back!

Gathered for a farewell lunch with coworkers. I was one of the last few people to arrive I ordered my food I also just had water with no ice the waitress, very nice and energetic. Even though I was one of the last ones to arrive I didn't have to wait very long to get my food. When my food arrived it was very hot and I was able to enjoy the meal with my group. This was a very good experience. This was also my 1st time at this restaurant. I will also recommend this restaurant to friends and return for another visit.

I have worked in this area for past 6 years for a business that has been a neighborhood establishment for decades but we have never tried this restaurant. Today we ordered lunch. Got sweet potatoes fries, Philly fries, veggie burger and tots, fried pickles and fried cauliflower. The burger and the cauliflower stole the show. We were impressed! Ordered online and when I arrived to pick up food was ready and hot. We will definitely order again!!!

Don and Sailor are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. A group of friends and I came in almost before the kitchen closed and they were extremely accommodating. Both Don and Sailor are both extremely friendly, polite and definitely hospitable. I am from out of town and they made my experience here very memorable. Definitely come by and see them

Mixed feelings about this place. We ordered the philly steak fries and Phily's burger.The steak fries were really bland. The fries were underseasoned, the meat was underseasoned, there was not enough cheese. I am all for crispy fries topped with gooey cheese and meat and peppers. But honestly, this was not that. The burger too was not all that special. Above all, they lacked flavor on both the patty and the fries.
While I thought the price was reasonable, the quality was subpar at best. I was not sure if the place was having an off day, however I will not be too enthusiastic to order from

I would not recommend this restaurant. We called twice to confirm there would be trivia on Saturday and were told yes both times. We got there on Saturday and the waitress said yes it would be starting at 8. Unfortunately that was not the case. We went there specifically for trivia.
We stayed for the food but it was not good. The spicy black beans were awful! It was like they heated black beans from a can and dumped a cup full of black pepper on them. One of our party got a sandwich and was sick afterward. The steak sandwich was very small. We won't be back.

Our hope for Varner's was that it could become our new neighborhood place after we moved to Smyrna a few months ago. So, I really want to like Varners...shoot, I really want to LOVE the place, but after multiple visits in the recent months I have to accept that it's just not happening. I don't want to say that I dislike Varner's and I won't be back, but I will say that I have been consistently disappointed with my experiences thus far.

Went on a Sunday for wings and football. Very smoky in there. Enough to probably stop me from going again... wings were okay nothing exciting. My friend and I both ordered two different flavors and we both complain about lack of seasoning on the wings and the fries. I can't think of the last time that happened anywhere else. However their service is on point and they definitely have their systems down for taking peoples order getting in and getting the food out to them piping hot. Due to the great service I gave them three stars but for ambience smoke and no tasting food I cannot rate above

I ate here only once, after flying in to Atlanta, taking a long Uber ride to Smyrna, having enormous trouble getting into my AirBNB and not having anything to eat all day. I liked the place for a couple reasons and would encourage anyone to eat here if they're looking for something on a menu consisting of a wide variety of bar bites.
