The food is amazing. Wifey and I have ordered take out multiple times and have never been disappointed. I do wish there was some sort of delivery option. Then again if you want something great you always need to put in some effort. Overall amazing food.

Great little place. Just please don't put meat on the side salad when I order a menu item listed as vegan. I intentionally told the girl I am vegan and don't want any meat. She's like "Oh, you do want a salad with it? It's free!" I'm like, "Sure, okay". When I get home, there's meat all over it. Why bother advertising that some of your items are vegan if you include meat with it? I honestly couldn't even enjoy it because I was just praying with every bite that it wouldn't make me sick.
Food was okay, but definitely not worth $18. Yikes. I told them my name and that I phoned in an order to go.

Not the best Italian food I've had, but decent.
My veal was way over cooked. Leather like. My wife's chicken parm was delicious!
Their bruschetta was also very good. Overall some good, some bad. Worth the money? I think so.

Worth the wait!
We arrived at peak hours, and had to wait a little over an hour to be seated (lesson learned, call ahead next time). Our patience was fueled by recommendations from friends and the fact that there were other crowds also waiting to get into the packed restaurant, and our wait was rewarded with agile, warm service. Our food and beverages were brought out quickly by our skilled waitress Alana who, along with the other staff, had to navigate the tight spaces between the kitchen and tables.

Drive down south from Acadia with 10 ppl group and every restaurant near coast line that have 4.4+ star are full from boothbay down here. Thai is the only restaurant that offered us a table at 7:30pm. We got seated at 7:45, which is way later than our normal dinner time. My little one is very hungry and the front desk staff helped us to get order in really quick. The buns and salad are soso. The bun is a little greesy and salty and the salad is drenched in sauce. But the meal is much better and we are all very satisfied. We ordered Verdura al Napoleon, Bistecca Fiorentina, Pollo Tuscany, Pesce

Coming from an Italian family growing up in the north shore of Boston, this was the best Italian we have had in a long time! Certainly the best we have had in Maine. It felt like a true Italian dinner with servinf after serving and the food was all delicious. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. The drinks were very good, too! Highly recommended

Wonderful atmosphere, great staff and really good food.
Expect a short wait, it's a small restaurant, but it's worth it.
I got lasagna for dinner and fried mozzarella as an appetizer, both were hot and delicious.
The drink list was pretty good as well.

We came in 30 minutes before closing on a Monday night, very hungry. We had a choice of outside tables & our dog was not only accepted, but welcomed with his own bowl of ice water. The rolls were delicious & fresh from the oven, & my husband ordered breaded meatballs as an appetizer that he really enjoyed. I tasted the marinara that came with it--*really* good! I had a haddock dinner with pecans, cranberries, & orange marmalade--not only delicious, but no dairy!! Sam had puttanesca, with anchovy & capers--spicy as requested. With the salads, we both took half our entrees home

I just had the most amazing meal linguini pescatore. It was filled with seafood and cream. I ate it so fast I did not get to take a picture. The staff was accommodating and amazing. I would recommend you stop by and try this delicious and delectable Italian delight.

The service was spectacular and the atmosphere very nice. The garlic knots and the salad were good. Everything else we ordered was bland. I'm not a salt fan when cooking, but this food needed some seasoning.

My initial visit for take away left me very pleased. I had gotten the shrimp scampi and it was exactly what I expected and wanted.

The free included garlic knots were disappointing. The dough to sauce was way off 3/1 dough and these must be a wheat dough, because the taste was like a wheat loaf slice. Wheat knots can be good, but these aren't. I can only assume as a free item, the attention to ingredients and process isn't afforded them like the other menu items receive. The included salads were tasty, if disproportionate. (Salad 1 had a single chickpea and salad 2 had at least a dozen

Ordered take out service on a weeknight and had a great experience. Order was ready promptly and exactly on schedule. Came with free garlic bread knots which were delicious, so soft, and flavorful. Salad was well put together and dressed. We ordered bolognese and carbonara which were both cooked perfectly and tasted awesome. Everything was well packaged. Would definitely order from here again!

We ate here for downtown Brunswick's July art walk night. It was so sticky humid that night, we were incredibly thankful for a shaded outdoor patio table with a breeze. The waitress was the same age as my daughter, and she was so sweet and friendly.
The menu here is really nice, really well put together thoughtful beautiful dishes.
My chicken was served topped with luscious strawberries. The antipasto salad? Omg! I've dreamed of it since we left, it's THAT good. The garlic knots are super tasty. Everyone of us enjoyed our meal. We didn't t have room for dessert, though I&apos

This is written during the 2020 Covid-19 shut down when dining out has turned to dining in. The Great Impasta has adapted by offering take out for all items on their regular menu. Last night we called in an order for carbonara (me) and foriana (her). They were both excellent! The best carbonara I have ever eaten. And all the extras that make the Impasta so good (garlic knots, antipasto salad, chocolates with your check) were there and delicious. They haven't completely updated their website or Facebook page, but they are open from 11 AM to 7 PM Tuesday through Saturday. Call your order in

Trying to find some good Italian food while passing through Brunswick and stumble upon the best hole in the wall ever.

Amazing pasta, sauce, garlic knots, garlic knots wrapped around a meatball (WHAT) conveniently called a meat knot... Dessert was to die for.

Super cute atmosphere, very homey.
Mary Beth was literally amazing as a server.

Food that tastes straight from Italy, hometown feel, phenomenal service...

We WILL be back!!

Service is excellent here. Food above average . I got the pescatore which was scallop, shrimp and mussel on linguine in a white sauce. I was expecting a smoother creamy sauce but here it was made with ricotta cheese which was still good. The plate came out piping hot which I like . I don't like dishes coming out semi or lukewarm hot.
The entree had a salad and garlic knots to accompany it. The salad was simple but yummy. The dressing on it was fine but my hubby wanted a little more dressing which was fine. Personal preference.
The seafood in pasta was cooked just right not at all overlooked

We came here on a Saturday around 2pm. The building is cute and the parking was easy. Seemed like a good vibe when we walked in, the host was friendly and we were seated fast. The prices on the menu were very reasonable. $11 for an average meal.

They brought us bread? Garlic knots? They were balls of dough (wheat and white) covered with oil, and sprinkled with parm cheese. Tasted like stale bread reheated, mushy and not appetizing.

We started with wine, bruschetta and minestrone soup. The wine was a decent size glass. The bruschetta was ok, it was about the size of half a bagel cut up. And
