I grew up in Clark County Missouri, the son of a law enforcement officer and the youngest of 5 children. At a young age I began working as a farm hand, later to become a Veterinarian Assistant and leasing land to operate a small feeder cattle operation. In 1970 my wife Deborah and I were married.
After completing an Order Buyer course I went to work for Interstate Producers Livestock Association as a Branch Manager of a Livestock Buying Station, while operating my own feeder pig and cattle operation.Leaving IPLA and accepting a position with Hormel Packing Company as an Order Buyer, my wife and I moved to Lake of The Ozarks.
