Schultz Chiropractic & Acupuncture has been a part of the Johnston community for over three decades. Since 1989, we have provided patients of all ages and walks of life with compassionate, professional care. We are dedicated to helping you heal and live well as naturally as possible. Shelly graduated from Augustana College, located in Sioux Falls, SD in Business Administration and Finance. Shelly has been working with chiropractic patients for 27 years. Findings from a 2012 National Health Interview Survey, touted as "the most recent source providing data on the use of complementary health care, " revealed why patients utilize chiropractic care and what they value most about it. The survey provided data on those that had chose to become lifetime patients (54.6 million), and those that have been patients 12-months or less (19.1 million).
Dr. Schultz completed his undergraduate studies at Iowa State University. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1983. Following a short period at Palmer Chiropractic College, he followed his older brother to the San Francisco Bay area. It was not long after making the trip that Dr. Schultz decided to transfer to Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, California.
When you put the two words together, you get "done by hand." Unlike traditional medicine, chiropractic care is a natural, drug-free approach to health care. It is often done by hand, or manually, promoting wellness through the health of the central nervous system. For years, chiropractic care has been used as a natural way to ensure health and wellness.

Dr. Schultz has been AMAZING at helping me to restore my spinal and nervous system function. He is very detailed with the care he gives. Dr. Schultz is very inviting, down-to-earth, and GREAT at listening to all of your concerns.
He also goes out of his way to educate patients on the spine-nervous system connection and how your misalignment is affecting you. He continues educational talks with you throughout your treatments, and answers all of your questions, with the pursuit to help you reach your health goal successfully.

Schultz Chiropractic and Acupuncture definitely gets five stars from me! I had never experienced back pain before and how debilitating it can be. I thought I had a pinched nerve in my neck and sought treatment from traditional medicine and, although a little skeptical, decided to also see what natural medical treatment options a chiropractor could offer. The traditional medicine approach was a brief physician visit where they prescribed muscle relaxers for me (I took one dose and felt awful) and sent me on my way telling me if it didn't improve they would send me to physical therapy. I have been going to chiropractor's for over 20 years with different results from several that I have seen. All resulting in finding someone else. I can honestly say, that I have found the last chiropractor that I will use.
If you want to feel better and have a game plan for a pain free life, you owe it to yourself to go see Dr. Schultz. I have been going for 3 weeks and feel more than 70% better than I did when I started.

Dr. Schultz is wonderful! He's thorough and exact in his treatment plans and I felt better immediately after just one visit. I had been going to another chiropractor that used a drop table for everything and it never felt like anything ever got better or my symptoms were ever really addressed. Dr. Schultz has tailored his plan to my body and my symptoms - he asks at every visit if I still like this approach or if I want to try something different. I appreciate the care he takes to understand everything and regularly check in on progress and plans. THE BEST.

WOW! I can't believe that I waited so long to try chiropractic care. Dr. Schultz is very knowledgeable and does a great job of explaining the science behind everything that he does. He has a great passion for what he does and makes his patients and their health his top priority. The staff is very friendly and caring. I would definitely recommend Dr. Schultz to friends and family.

I have been to many Chiropractic service providers in the past. In search for a place where the work was correcting or reducing the issues I have. Along with the fact that I wanted my voice be considered in my care. I just couldn’t find that in town, Until Dr. Schultz. I found the place for me! This is not only a one stop facility with a wide variety of services, nothing out of scope of your personal treatment and it’s all in ONE place. Dr. Schultz is an excellent diagnostician, compassionate physician and a great therapist. I've been going to Doctor Schultz now for a few months and he has made great progress with me. I was much improved after just a couple of sessions. He uses many different styles based on helping to solve the issues. He is also very interested in fixing what problems that I have. They offer very flexible times and are willing to work on fitting me in based on my schedule.
