Lake Orion Counseling Center
Here at the Lake Orion Counseling Center we are focused on helping our community. We care about helping our clients achieve their goals and use a variety of approaches including cognitive behavioral techniques to teach them new ways to approach and solve problems, and opportunities to uncover past experiences that shape current thinking and behaviors.

We feel it is our duty to contribute toward positive social change by helping our fellow community members work through the issues that prevent them from psychological health and happiness. Maria is an amazing therapist. She is working with me and my family. We could not ask for a more knowledgeable, caring, attentive therapist.
Services
As the world continues to place additional stressors in our lives, we need to be more realistic about how we are functioning and more purposeful in our commitment to our mental health and well-being, says Dr. Helen Coons. Research has shown that men are less likely than women to seek help for mental health issues, die by suicide more often, and commit and are victims of more homicide.
Here at the Lake Orion Counseling Center, our mission is simple: helping you. We are committed to helping you work past the barriers that have complicated your life and to achieve your goals. To do this, we use a client-centered approach that adjusts to each person's needs. We view therapy as collaborative, requiring effort on both the part of the therapist and the client.
One question that is often asked is why someone should choose to come to our facility when there are so many other ones out there. It is a fair question to ask, especially when Google and other search engines show us there are hundreds of places to choose from. Here at the Lake Orion Counseling Center, we are focused on helping our community.

For many of us, problems with concentration, low energy or motivation, and conflict with those close to us can make each day a challenge, resulting in unhealthy coping methods such as substance use, isolation, avoidance, and verbal/physical outbursts designed to push others away.Oftentimes, anxiety and depression are the cause for these difficulties, and the resulting behaviors have been developed in response to negative situations.
Crystal Pasciak earned her Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. After graduation she completed over 4,000 hours of supervised work experience at a clinic with a partial hospitalization program, frequently working with clients ranging from severe mental disorders to severe depression/suicide attempts, to individuals with behavior problems or adjustment difficulties.
