Services
Your pet's health is always our number one priority, which is why for most pets we recommend annual wellness exams to ensure that your animal companion remains in good health. If your pet is a senior-over seven for dogs, over nine for cats-we strongly suggest twice-yearly exams and blood screenings.
Vaccinating your pet is a relatively inexpensive but very important way to protect his or her health. In addition to preventing many life-threatening illnesses, vaccinations can prevent diseases prevalent in wildlife and those that can be passed to humans. It's important to administer vaccinations when pets are puppies and kittens because their young immune systems are still developing and need protection to stay healthy.
Dentistry is one of Cottman Animal Hospital's major areas of expertise because we believe in the importance of good dental care for pets. By age 3, most dogs and cats have some evidence of periodontal disease. Left untreated, the condition can result in tooth loss, gum infections, pain, and eventually more serious illness.
Cottman Animal Hospital has the capability to perform various blood tests, pre-anesthetic bloodwork, and other types of testing on site instead of sending samples to an outside lab. This saves time, money, and most importantly, you don't have to wait overnight for results-meaning your pet gets a diagnosis and needed treatment sooner.
Seeing under the skin-that's what's possible with ultrasound technology. Ultrasound is a powerful diagnostic tool that creates a real-time internal image of an animal's body, giving us important information about the circulatory, skeletal and gastrointestinal systems.
When used in conjunction with other diagnostic tools like X-rays, ultrasounds can help identify disease, blockages, skeletal fractures, soft tissue damage and other internal injuries.Because ultrasounds don't require radiation, they're also used to monitor pregnancies and fetal health in breeding pets.

This is only my 2nd time since
Dr. Lee has been at Cottman Animal Hospital. I took my Orange Tabby at 1st his name is Prince. Then I just took his Sister Bootsy on Thursday
because she wasn't eating, but I realized that she was constipated.
And I worked with her once I realized that. And she ended up making a BM. Before we went that morning to see Dr. Lee. So far, so good. She seems to be a good veterinarian. I have no complaints.
I have 2 other kitties Chubsy - (Mommy) to Ivan - (Son)
Sincerely,
Miss T. Stanford

Dr.Lee, Kim and the entire staff at Cottman Animal Hospital are wonderful. Dr.Lee takes the time to explain your pets health and amazingly remembers your pets name. She is very knowledgeable and kind.
Kim is a great asset to the hospital and will also take the time to explain things to you regarding your pets care. I am very happy with Dr. Lee and her staff !

My first experience with Cottman Animal Hospital was wonderful. Dr. Lee and all the staff were warm, professional and attentive. Dr Lee was knowledgeable and I left relieved, with some solid answers to my many questions. I LOVED that I was permitted in the room with my cat (with a mask, of course). And the cost of today's appointment was the most reasonably priced vet appointment that I've had in years.
