The owner Mike Chamberlain had always worked in the steel industry and realized that, at the time, no one was utilizing steel remnants. Rems were scrapped. So he started Rem Steel selling the remnants as his product., and since then the business has expanded well beyond its original scope. No longer selling remnants, we are now one of the biggest distributors in the Pacific Northwest of prime, excess prime, and flat roll products.
