Nunthaporn's Thai Cuisine
Nunthaporn's Thai Cuisine serves traditional Thai food and was voted Best Thai Restaurant in Mesa, AZ by Phoenix New Times. Portions are ample, the ingredients are fresh, and with a wide variety of natural ingredients and exotic spices to entice you, the ambiance is modest and aromatic at this restaurant.

Locally owned and operated, owner Nunthaporn Treekamol's priority is the customer. We offer four levels of heat: mild, medium, spicy, and Thai spicy. Since Thai is the only Far Eastern cuisine where the diner chooses the heat level, there are many menu choices to be made that don't involve anything that you might consider too spicy.
Services
Nunthaporn's Thai Cuisine is tucked away in historic downtown Mesa and serves traditional Thai meals, which means dishes like panang are made with just meat and sauce instead of adding vegetables like so many other Thai restaurants offer. However the customer wants it, though, is owner Nunthaporn Treekamol's priority.
Roasted coconut, diced cooked shrimp, lime, fresh ginger, peanut and sweet palm sauce wrapped in fresh butter lettuce leaf. Serves with old style Miang Kum sauce. Deep-fried mixture of diced chicken and sweet potato seasoned with curry powder wrap in puff pastry. Serves with cucumber and red onion chili sauce.

This is my 2nd visit to this Thai restaurant and while the food was again AMAZING the service was extremely odd.
First, I have never in my years of going to a Thai restaurant been told they are out of Thai iced tea. There is an Asian market not far from the restaurant that carries a Thai iced tea blend that I myself buy frequently. For a Thai restaurant to be out of Thai iced tea is like a Fish & Chip house being out of Fish !! The other issue; the item was not taken off my friend's bill even though they were out.
Second, I was overcharged for my Pad Thai dish. The menu shows that

I was torn between giving them 3 or 4 stars.
Before going to a Christmas concert at the MAC, we came early, 5:30. The restaurant had a majority of its tables occupied. After being sat down, only 1 small table remained.
Glancing around, you could see there were several tables waiting for their delicious food. I think we waited 30+ minutes before our food arrived. It's worth the wait so long as you don't have anywhere to be. They are still slow and I'm thinking that's because they have only 1 cook. I can't verify that but what else can it be?
We had hot Tea and I ordered

We had dinner with my family here and this was some of the best and most authentic Thai food I've ever eaten. I love curry dishes and eggplant and they didn't disappoint. I am excited to return to try different dishes, everything on the menu looks amazing and the smells from the kitchen are fantastic. I wish I had thought to take pictures of my food, it's a great idea!

There are so many great appetizers to choose from that I will have to try next time too! I love that the have vegan dishes as well, many people who are strictly vegan or vegetarian have great choices here. The prices

Food is always fresh and flavorful. FYI though, heat level 1 is still pretty spicy! Overall everything I've ordered is delicious.

You can't go wrong with the yellow curry with chicken. I also love the curry soup and drunken noodles. The staff is kind and the service quick.

This place does not disappoint. We ordered for delivery the first time and the meal was exquisite! Then we dined in when everyone stopped being scared of this fake pandemic. Our portions were plentiful, delicious and well worth the price. THIS place is wonderful!

This Thai spot is in the middle of downtown Mesa and it couldn't be at a better location, it's amazing indoor ambiance along with the friendly staff makes eating here all that much better. I've enjoyed the varieties of options of flavors, noodles and levels of spices. My coworker has made the mistake of ordering Thai spicy and his sinus's were clear for days. Big fan of the Pad See Ew && tamarind shrimp. The flavor just hits so good, along with the shareable portions, this restaurant goes above and beyond the expectations of service, with one of the friendliest and funniest

Favorite Thai spot in downtown Mesa for sure! The people there are so kind and remember our names and order. My husband and I eat here often and are very sad when they close on Sunday's lol. The appetizers as well as their entrees are incredible and freshly made. We have never waited more than 20 minutes for takeout or dine-in. If you're in downtown Mesa it's a must stop!

My husband and I took a light rail ride to downtown Mesa. We stopped in this place for an early dinner. WOW! The service, food and atmosphere was spot on and just what we needed. We had the fried Tofu and began wings with the sirachi sauce... DELISC!! Then we had curry entrees, Masaman curry with Tofu meat- - Jackpot! The curry was light and filled with the Tofu slices and peanuts. It was my first time eating this kind of curry. EXCELLENT! My husband had the red curry. I REALLY enjoyed because of the veggies in it. Check 2! To top off dinner, we had the black sticky rice with mangos. BOOM! COMPLETE

Their hours state they are open until 8:30pm on weekdays, but beware if you get there at 7:30pm and ask for a table they will say you cannot dine in because the kitchen is closing soon and they want to get home.
I've worked in the food industry and understand kitchens close at a certain time, usually this might be 30 mins before close. But to refuse service because you are closing in an hour seems unreasonable.
We ordered takeout and food was ok. Not too worried about visiting again.
Good luck guys.

This has to be the absolute best Thai food I have eaten in Mesa. No flavor overshadowed any other. Spice level 2 is plenty hot! I had Drunken Noodles and husband had Thai Fried Rice. We tried to come here before Covid and they are always so busy, but now they NEED OUR BUSINESS! Service was impeccable. They refilled my water 3 times and checked on us constantly. We can't wait to go back!

There may be $1.50 charge if you order off the Internet.

However, in my case, they charged $1.50 even though I called in the order and picked it up.

When I brought it to their attention they offered to give me the $1.50 back, but then I would have to drive over there which is a waste of my gas.

I wish they would've offered me some stirfried rice to compensate for the mistake and inconvenience.

In the future, I hope they inform the customers of the fee otherwise it's uncomfortable discovering it at a later date.

However, I really like the people, the food and the environment, so I

Been wanting to try this place for years. Finally got a lunch invite from a work associate.
Started with Thai iced tea. Have had better.
Small bowl of Tom yum Kha, coconut, chicken, lemongrass, soup. Chicken was good, but half the bowl was inedible, full of leaves, twigs and other flavoring ingredients.
Main dish, green curry with beef. Green beans could have used another couple of minutes cooking, very crunchy. Broth very thin. Flavor okay.
Thai lunches usually include an egg roll, or wontons. Not here.
Found the food to be rather disappointing. I truly love good Thai flavors, seemed to be missing

Drove by this place in the past, and was curious to try out.

Had a mesa art event nearby, literally down the street, and decided to eat here first.
back parking lot in the back. So that's a bonus in downtown Mesa.

medium amount of seating, which did get full as we ate.
We had a nice seat by the windows to observe those walking by.

Fast and friendly waiter and waitress.
I had the green curry with chicken "thai spicy" and was able to taste the pad se ew
also thai spicy.
Firstly, it is definitely thai spicy, there's a kick in both. the pad se ew taste even spicier, but when
