Myofascial therapy is a deep yet gentle technique that works with restrictions in the connective tissues of our bodies. Connective tissue is the clear saran-like material that surrounds all muscles. This wrap, called fascia, surrounds and encases every muscle cell, muscle fiber bundle and each muscle group.
Contrary to the general public's conception of Deep Tissue massage, it is not a "hard" massage, which is simply the result of exerting more effort; it does not require exceptional strength or size. Deep tissue techniques are intended to be used when the need arises, perhaps several times during a massage.
Reflexology is a unique system of foot and hand massage based on holistic principles and springing from the same Chinese roots as acupuncture. By locating and applying finger pressure to the reflexology points on the feet and hands, which relate to the different parts of the body, we can correct the imbalance of energy which can cause stress and dis-ease.
