Oscar and Sam took my call and they were fantastic from the get go. FOR THE FIRST TIME, someone kind, relaxed and HONEST!
I work on my own car but moved to down town Chi. for my job. I was quoted $250 down town for a simple oil change on my Mercedes ML350 (from experience, I know an oil change is not that difficult to ever justify that cost)... nearly X 2.5 what they Sam and Oscar quoted.
I was welcome with a smile and treated like a friend to Sam. Walked over to the Starbucks next door while they worked, and was out ASAP. HIGLY recommend and 100% coming back.

I had an issue with my brake caliber and I stopped by this place. Upon inspecting my car, Sam, the mechanic fixed it right away within 10 min. I am very grateful for his quick and professional service. I really recommend getting your car serviced here. They provide variety of services with high quality and reasonable price. Extremely friendly customer service. Very knowledgeable in what they do and quick turnaround. Of course it helped that we knew the owners. I'm a single female and I would trust them to do right by me if I took my car in there by myself for work, mechanical work.

I brought my 20 year old Audi to Advanced Auto Clinic on a recommendation from my brother. I'm glad I did. Sam and the whole team are friendly, professional, and diligent . My car needed quite a few things done, both repairs and preventative maintenance, on almost all systems. Everything was done well and quickly and my car is running and driving like it was when new. The cost for everything is fair and Sam saved me quite a bit of money with his diagnosis. I'm very happy with the work and treatment I received and will be a long term customer. Good place.

Sam and the team at Advance Auto are just amazing, car problems are heartbreaking and going to a mechanic is even worse once you hear the cost. Sam and team always break everything down for me, the prices are fair, the work is honest, and they stand by the job they do. These guys are relatable and feel like family. I am definitely thankful for what they do and peace of mind I get when my car is in their hands.

Sam runs a great shop. He is our family's go to mechanic. Everyone on staff is professional and does high quality work. I stopped paying the dealer markup years ago thanks to Advance Auto Clinic and haven't looked back. He stands behind his work and I will confidently recommend Sam to anyone that has an older german car.

Sam is the best. He is extremely passionate about his work. It is very hard to find honest people. Sam is always straight forward and very honest, his prices are always extremely reasonable, he will work with you on any job. There is no reason to go to another mechanic. I drove by and saw an Open sign on Saturday and decided to see if someone would be able to help me. The shop actually closed a couple hours before I came by, but Gabriel, the manager, drove in just as I was about to leave. He was able to diagnose my car's issue and fix it in under a minute. Super nice guy, definitely worth going to this place for your auto needs!

DO NOT trust Sam the owner. He ripped me off once and tried again. The first time my car was brought to him, he fixed my timing chain and heads of my Honda CR-V. I paid him 1,500 cash and never receive a receipt as he was a long time "friend" of a friend that trusted him. My car broke down again and was returned to his shop for repairs. Luckily for me I brought my cousin with this time around when picking up the car. In turn I was told the total for the repairs was another 1,000 due to valve replacement. Sam printed out the receipt for the 2nd visit. My cousin looked at this receipt and

Today, the 10 year old battery died on our Lexus. They came right over, took the car to the shop and put in a new battery for a very reasonable price. Previously, Sam rewired my entire headlight and only charged me the bulb. They also used to take care of my 17 year old Volvo and jury rigged a bunch of stuff to give it two extra years on the road. When the exhaust system died, Sam inspected it, told me to get a new car and did not charge me.

I am mystified by these negative reviews. I have always been treated well and honestly by Advanced Auto and Sam.

The owner sam is a hot head. BUYER BEWARE. he hung up on me because his worker scheduled an appt and now he can't honor it. it's the only day I can do it and I had an appt. he made no efforts to fit me in and instead yelled at me and hung up. classy guy, take your business elsewhere

Sam is the best! He quoted me HALF of what the dealership was going to charge me! He shipped in the right parts for my VW and had everything fixed and ready for me to pick up within 48 hours. I will never take my car anywhere else.

I've been going to AAC for almost 3 years and will only go to Sam to have work done on my car. He always treats me well and has the best prices. If he needs to keep my car overnight he always provides a FREE rental! No mechanic has ever offered that to me.....ever! If it is work that can be done in a day, he, his wife or one of his mechanics will provide me a ride to work and they have even picked me up to bring me back to the shop! Who does that?....NOBODY! The quality of the work speaks for itself, Sam goes above and beyond every time, he is quite simply the best.

I am amazed that this place has so many positive ratings. I suspect they were written by the owners friends.

My experience was not so good. I used them, on the recommendation of TireRack to install my tires. I dropped the tires off on a Monday and said no hurry, call me when ready. They called me on Thursday at 8:12am to say the tires were ready. They then called again at 4:02 telling me to pick them up.

I was in all day meetings so could not respond. I then got another call at 4:12 from TireRack saying that the owner had asked them to call me because he said that I had left my wheels

Best mechanics - best customer service - never feel ripped off or taken advantage of - super nice, and lastly communicative and what they tell you the cost is, it is! No games! I would recommend them to my 95. Year old grandmother and not worry a bit!

I apologize it has taken me a month to write the review. I can't tell you enough how pleased I was with the service I received. My car needed a lot of work and I was prepared to hear the worst. I went in knowing it would be at least $900-$1000.

I've been going to Advanced Auto Clinic for almost 10 years now. I have had many cars - Audi's, BMW's, Land Rovers, etc. and every time I have a problem, I take it to Sam Cherro at Advanced. Not only does he fit me in on my schedule, he's fast. AND he provides loaners. What mechanic does that? I'll tell you - none. And pricing - he's the best. Very affordable to say the least. So, if you're looking for someone you can trust with your second most prized possession, Sam's your man. He even gives you options for new or refurbished parts, if applicable

As hard as it is to find car shops you can trust - this one stands out for integrity, quality and reasonable pricing. I have been dealing with these folks for over 10 years with many cars (and a couple of motorcycles). Mercedes, Jeep, Ford, GMC, Harley-Davidson - and have had wonderful experience with all of them.. I would never take my cars any place else!
Note: Many times the cost of repairs have been less than what was quoted - these guys are more than fair.

Been dealing with Advance for a few years now. I drive a '07 MB E350 that is out of warranty and repairs can be costly. Everytime I go in for an oil change or any other repair Sami the owner is always up front about the cost. I've been to many repair shop and they always tell me I need more then what I went in for. I agree with the first review; this place is a square deal and I believe a very good value for what you pay. It's hard to trust an auto mechanic if you are not a gear head, since you may not know what they are doing or understand the jargon. The owner Sami is really a car guru and you can learn a lot about cars just having a conversation with him. I know I'm more trusting when procedures are explained. I also like being given choices (like, whether we want to use new or refurbished auto parts). Sami clearly likes what he does and it shows.

They beat other quotes on major jobs by a large margin. Very honest, very fair. If something isn't repaired correctly, I can return and it's no charge. Super-friendly and helpful. Most places will pad prices on parts and labor. This place stays busy all time. The do not need to squeeze you.
