This is the second time within a year that I have been to this location. I used to get my massages at “So Relax” at Parkway Plaza mall in El Cajon only to discover they’re permanently closed. So, I went to iMassage in La Mesa. I really liked how they gave me the massage. I have a bad back pain, & the massage helped me. I feel more relaxed than I felt in months. I would highly recommend getting a massage done here. The price is right too, a full body massage, you get for 1 hour it’s $50. &, don’t forget to tip. I’ll be going back again, next month. I felt very rushed. I was uncomfortable because no spoke English. I'm 6 months pregnant and want to make sure my babies would be safe. This is not a place for prenatal massage. The table was very hard and of was on my belly most of the time.
I had a man, which is my thing, but not usually comfortable with men for things like this. His hands were rough, he dug into knots and KEPT on them and back to them. I winced a few times. Finally I couldn't take it and told him to let up. Again language barrier. Then to flip

I Massage may be ideal and convenient because the location is right of the freeway. Let me save you some money and tell you to go somewhere else. The massage was decent. When I entered no one was up front, it was really dark. When a woman did come I mentioned my appointment and showed my Groupon. I was lead to a room, no questions about what I wanted, how much pressure, any painful areas, nothing. I got ready and an older man came in, I said that I'd prefer a woman masseuse and he kept coming in. It took some miming to get my point across, as English was not his strong suit. He left and a woman came in. I let her know that I have fibromyalgia and can't have deep massages. She did some different pressure amounts until I chose the right pressure

If I could give this establishment zero stars, I definitely would. My sister, mom, and I scheduled an appointment for July 30, 2019 @ 10:00a.m. We got there and were told that they forgot about our appointment. The young lady then calls someone (another masseuse) to come because there are three of us. The lady got off the phone and let us know that the Masseuse would be here in 10 minutes. My family and I waited for 30 minutes, they offered no discount services nor were they apologetic. We FINALLY left this dump of a business to get real messages at Happy Head.

Cindy was amazing!! I would highly recommend her! She does a great massage. She asks if you are doing ok a number of times and really cares to make sure you're enjoying your massage. I will be returning to her after my trip I am going on. I think I finally found someone I actually really like for me!

I gave this a tried. First the masseuse Jojo that she said her was. She asked to be pay first then she walked me to the room. She did not ask me where do I need to work on or how much pressure do I need. Almost at the end of an hour she asked if i want a happy ending massage with a more tips.I did want a happy ending massage.
I will not come back here again. She did not massage me l. Mostly she touching an rubbing me. I have many times asking for more pressure but she gave little pressure then back to touching and rubbing again. I don't think she is a mssssgeuse.

Overall, the massage was good. I liked the therapist's pressure (Cindy). Unfortunately, there are things that cant be controlled, when i went to my appointment, the restaurant next door was having renovations, i could here the machines ,radio , and workers talking. But i guess, the massage was good enough , i was able to doze off for few minutes. I did not mind hearing the staffs talk in Chinese at that time.Cindy was able to communicate in English with me during the session and that's all that matters. I came here on may 10 to get a couples massage and it was the worst massage I ever had. They never asked me to fill out any paperwork or if I had any injuries. They used too much pressure. My wife has a slipped disk and they made her back feel worse . when the hot stones were placed on us they were extremely hot. They spoke in chinese the ENTIRE time but never once asked us if we were enjoying the massage. After leaving they demanded a tip in the doorway and got mad and laughed when I only left 5 and the women said its 2 of them. They are lucky they got that the massage not good at all

I've tried many massage places and the $40 price is very much worth it. The atmosphere is clean, professional and quiet. Did you hear me? It's quiet! So many places have bad road noise and it's not worth it because the distraction is too much.
I can't speak for these other reviewers but I really enjoyed my experience. It not only ailed my aches and pains but it knocked down my bad allergy headache that I've had all week.

Worst massage experience and very rude staff.
Experience was a lady coming from a dark lit hallway asking for my wife and I to pay first. Then we wait in a dusty old dirty room (I should have took pics). Two older Chinese women come in and start to massage. Besides the musky smell and dirty room, I'm starting to enjoy it and relax, just then her hands touch my bare skin and WOW!
They were so rough I could have sworn they swapped in a Home Depot worker or something. Then complained about the tip on the way out and actually requested 30%! Are you kidding me?!?! Lol
