We can't say enough positive things about Sandra. From our first meeting she made us feel like she was family and her number one concern was our needs. We take pride in offering caring funeral, burial, and cremation services to families in the Chicago area. Smith-Corcoran is familiar with all religious and cultural traditions.
The loss of a loved one can be overwhelming, and calling us first can greatly simplify the process of returning your loved one back home. Contact us when a death has occurred. If a death occurs at a nursing home, hospice, residence or hospital and the deceased is under a physician's care then the family, nurses or professional staff can contact Smith-Corcoran.

The level of professionalism that my family received from Kate Kavouris who handled all the funeral arrangements was outstanding. No detail was left untouched and Kate's support at a difficult time was very much appreciated. I wish there was a Kate I could work with on a variety of matters. Her level of customer service and pro-activity was exemplary! If you want a funeral home where you get top-notch service with high-level of attention to detail, use Smith Corcoran.

I have gone to Smith-Corcoran more than several times over the last ten years for full burial services of family members. Each time the folks at Smith-Corcoran were extremely easy to work with. Each service was uniquely different though. They listened to what we wanted to do and always found a way to meet our expectations coordinating exactly what we wanted to do. Losing someone is hard enough, without the additional stress of all the decisions and planning that comes after that. My family and I are forever grateful to Bob, Jay, Kelly, and Tristan for everything they, and the Smith Corcoran team, did for us. Their expertise, attention to detail, patience, and communication made a very difficult time, a little bit easier. Jay Smith was very helpful in pre-planning my mother's arrangements years before we actually needed their services. It was the first time I had ever done arrangements before a death had occurred but it was nice that Mom had a say in what her final wishes were. When Mom passed away it was amazing not to have to make hasty decisions and not feel like we were forgetting anything. With CoVid restrictions in place, Smith Corcoran had a very efficient set up and we were still able to honor Mom in a comforting way. With the help and guidance of my aunt's closest friend who'd been a repeat customer to Smith-Corcoran, the whole experience helped ease the process in giving our deceased Mom the traditional service. I am sure my Mom would give her own five star rating. Sam, our funeral director, who helped us was particularly pleasant, professional yet still personable -good conversationalist.
