Services
Thank you for your interest in the Bancroft School of Massage Therapy, Inc. Different cultures have valued the aid of massage for thousands of years, but it was not until the early 1800's that the system known as Swedish Massage was developed. Since that time, Swedish Massage has become one of the most widely accepted forms of massage in the world today.
Bancroft School of Massage Therapy's diploma program meets the licensing requirements of most state, city, and town laws presently enacted, exceeds the educational requirements for the Massage & Bodywork License examination (MBLEx). The objective of the program is to prepare men and women for rewarding careers as professional massage therapists.
Applications will be processed in order received, and openings in the program will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis for all qualified candidates. All information submitted for purposes of applying to the Massage Therapy Program is confidential. It will be used by BSMT for the purposes of selecting a class for the program and informing the applicant of future programs offered by BSMT.
Bancroft School of Massage Therapy is seeking students who genuinely recognize massage as a healing art, who enjoy caring for people and who demonstrate a responsible and professional attitude toward their work. High school transcript not required if you submit transcripts of graduation from a 2 or 4 year college.
The US Dept of Education is the lender and pays on the loan while you are in school at least half time and during grace and deferment periods. Must demonstrate financial need. I had great hopes for this school. My wife needs only 80 hours of CLINICAL work to finish her license, which involves no schooling/classes, only time with massage clients, as a final graduate requirement by the Mass State Board. So I called them with hopes of her finishing in a month or so. Their wonderful admissions director told me the school will make no exceptions, that my wife would have to transfer a maximum of 75% of her credits and then RETAKE basically 120 hours of additional schooling SHE HAS ALREADY HAD!! I attended Bancroft this past year and was amazed at the caring and supportive team of both administrators and faculty at the school. The moment I walked in the door I could feel that this was a place where people cared about what they do and wanted to share their knowledge. All of the teachers want you to succeed and will do everything to make sure you finish school and are more than prepared for a career in massage therapy. After interning at a a local wellness center I can say that I feel more than prepared to work as a Massage Therapist.

I recently moved to Massachusetts from Texas, where I was a licensed massage therapist. When I applied for my license here, I found out I had to take fifty more hours of training in order to practice massage in this state. Bancroft was very accommodating, and made this process as easy as possible for me. All the office personnel, teachers, and students were supportive, well educated and passionate about massage. The admissions director Judie Morin is a JOKE to this place. She's one of the rudest and immature people I've ever encountered. What she said the entire time I went to check out the school she was saying to people "YOU THINK YOUR GOOD BUT YOUR NOT THAT GOOD". She said this to people who don't practice enough and said it slow and loud like she was proud of it. How is this encouraging saying this to students is beyond me!!!! She also said many rude things like I wouldn't be able to be a student and do well. When I passed midterm, mcas, and I'm a Tri County grad. Also she talked to me like she didn
