Born and raised in southwest Colorado, Gunnar lives, plays, and works in the remote mountains, deserts, canyons and rivers of the American West. A former ski racer, ski coach, heavy equipment operator, logger and river guide, Gunnar currently volunteers with the La Plata County Search and Rescue Elite Technical Rescue Team.
