As per the Covenants of each Association, all Association Homeowners are required to submit an Architectural Request Form to the Architectural Review Committee prior to making any changes to the outside appearance of their homes, yards, fences, and gates within the specified Association.

I lived at one of Blackwell Nelson's properties for over four years. And it was far too long. The staff is not polite, very slow to no response on maintenance issues, you have to send at least six emails in order to get anyone's attention, strangers doing door checks at your car, tenants protesting outside regarding rising cost by Blackwell when the property is in poor conditions. Definitely not a quality place to live.

I would usually never write reviews but after this experience I will. They never return phone calls and told me today that they would only come look at the problem of the whole building not having hot water because another unit also called. I would also like to point out that my roof has leaked for over 2 years now, I have emailed and called every time it happens and still it is not fixed. I would not recommend them to anyone because of how out of control and not caring they are.

Blackwell Nelson has been a good company to me anytime I call or go by the office they are very professional and handle things promptly. Melissa P is awesome she is professional,very sweet, and understanding. I was impressed on how everything was handled and how swift she got things done..I see all the nasty reviews but in my situation I have only had excellent service with them.

I just rented a condo in Birmingham, named Carmel’s condominium, at the beginning we had some problems and Katrina Blackwell and her team came to our new place and fixed everything in less than 24 hours; it was a surprise how they responded so quickly to our request. Marci the property manager is absolutely horrible. I had rodents in my apartment at Red Top and it took them months to send out maintenance to the property. Then when I moved they took $200 from my deposit for things like leaving the shower hooks and the shower rod in the bathroom, having dust on the ceiling fan, dust on the air vent in the living room, and leaving a spray bottle on the counter in the bathroom. I found it ridiculous because I don’t know anyone who would clean the dust off the ceiling fan before they leave an apartment. Blackwell is the worst I’ve ever experienced. Very, very

I normally don't write google reviews but after my interaction with Amy in their office, I had to brag on her. She has been working with me over the past couple of months with a violation letter regarding my trash container being left outside for too long after trash days. I was upset when I received the violation because I work very long hours taking care of patients during Covid and sometimes have to spend the night with patients and can't get home to move the container from the road. Amy was very understanding and worked with me on a solution instead of just fining me. 5 STARS to Amy at Blackwell
