Nice and Friendly staff with a Great knowledge of vehicles and very fast on the turn around. Transmission on my truck went out, dropped it off on a Monday got it back weds. Can't get much better than that. Very professional and friendly! I will recommend these folks to everyone! Our experienced technicians are ASE-certified and work with state-of-the-art equipment, allowing us to provide quality repairs on many makes and models. Anything from a simple light bulb to diagnosing that annoying engine light, installing a new transmission, or helping you finish a vehicle restoration project - we can handle it.
Car repairs totaled over $3000 which was expected due to the types of repairs and labor costs. Went to pick up vehicle on 08/26/21. Person processing payment wasn't paying attention and charged my card over $8200. This transaction depleted my account and it couldn't be refunded immediately. I was told funds would be credited to account as early as the following day or "up to 30 days."
The Car People want to help the community by offering a vehicle pick up and drop off service within a reasonable distance. We will also be taking payments over the phone in order to limit the amount of human contact involved in auto repair. We will be disinfecting all common areas in the vehicle such as the keys, steering wheel, shifter, etc. in order to protect the safety of our employees and our valued customers.

Doesn’t matter what you do….you guys are a complete ripoff. Had my Suspension “repaired” there and you guys just took my money and would not see what you did wrong or warranty your repair. DO NOT go to this shop. The suspension does not function in anyway. Would give negative stars.

I am from Georgia and I’m in Murfreesboro, TN for a job interview in Brentwood, TN. As I was leaving the interview in Brentwood, I noticed my air conditioner was not cooling, my check engine light came on and the thermal sensor gage was not reading the temperature of my engine. I hit my OnStar button to get navigation to the closest Chevy dealership. When I arrived at the dealership, they turned me away because they were booked with appointments and taking no walk-in appointments. The Car People are a great crew of guys. Geoffrey at the front desk takes care of everyone that comes through the door. We had two cars in for some major items. They were able to quickly identify the issues and give me several options and cost estimates to consider along with their opinion of their recommended action. They're the experts so I took their word and I am glad I did. Both cars are running great and they feel like they can go another 100,000 miles! Thanks Car People!

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I can not stress this enough, they tried to screw me out of over $900.00. The AC Fan in my car stopped blowing so I took it in here because they had good ratings on Yelp. So after they said they diagnosed the problem they said I would need an entire new Blower Motor, New Blower resistor, a fuse and that my fluids need flushing because they decided to check that as well. Firstly, the fluid flush was a red flag because I had done that same procedure only a few months back so I KNEW that wasn't necessary. Secondly, the price for each of the blower motor and resistor was over

Went for an oil change with an appointment made. They were a bit backed up which was fine- it can easily happen. However, when I presented a voucher I purchased on Yelp ($50 for $75 in services) Geoff told me it was only valid for... services. Evidently an oil change is not a service that is included in the offer which is not stated anywhere in the offer; it specifically says 'not valid for retail items.'
He kept a friendly attitude which is why I left a 2 star rating over a 1. But he didn't show the courtesy a business owner would to a new customer. Instead, he blamed the phrasing

MOST AMAZING SERVICE AT A CAR SHOP, or any place ever!
I pulled in after getting a flat tire a mile away and was completely frantic because it was my third in three days....fast forward to Geoff calling the tire shop and setting everything up for me, they don't even have tires at his shop but he still accomadated me to the absolute fullest. I promise you I will trust Geoff and his team with my car on anything it needs next. Thank you for being a genuinely kind person and caring business.

Great place & good pricing. I was initially concerned given the time frame that was projected for me, but they did come thru to be as good as people say they are. I was recommended the place by the mechanic Harry York & he ended up being the one to fix my car & it was a quick fix on the battery leads, which was a small problem causing the car to have no power & it had everyone stumped. Fixed in a jiffy once it was assessed & got my car back right after. Charged only $68 for the whole thing (& no upselling.) That was fair & they know their stuff. I would trust them again

Friendy folks, fair prices, discounts through Yelp and, as I discovered when I dropped my girl off, they offer a $30 discount... You just have to peel the sticker off one of the complementary baked goodies (found in a basket on the counter) and submit it with your payment when you return for your vehicle.
I don't know if 'the cookie discount' is always available but I believe the discount via Yelp is $25 so either one is helpful! All the same, it's worth asking about.

We came to The Car People with a Groupon and we left lifetime customers. These guys have helped us with oil changes, tie rod replacements, and more for our 300C and each time we have been blown away by the overall outcome both with our vehicle and our wallets. The customer service is absolutely excellent; many businesses could learn from them as a leading example. My dad is a mechanical engineer and has always taken care of my aging Subaru. I have needed to take it in to the Car People for several different issues over the last year, including an entire engine transplant! They found me a great deal on a used engine and the cost for labor was so reasonable. Their customer care and service is unlike any other place in town. I always brag about their free shuttle service. When my engine died, I got a free AAA tow to The Car People and a free ride to work. You can't beat that!

I called up the old yelp reviews today driving back through 5 points from the dog park and thought well if I can get my oil changed quickly around here I'll just do it now, The Car People were amazing. I had my dog Carlos with me and Geoff let me bring him inside, they have cold water and snacks.. baked goods for you to have a little treat while you wait. They also give you a card when you get a free oil change after so many trips.

If you're looking for reputable car service shop this is the place. They don't overcharge, service is explained upfront and the staff is ALWAYS courteous.
Ladies even if you fear mechanics and shops this is the place for you. You will receive great treatment. As a matter of fact my wife came here first and she was so impressed with the service that I started coming.

Friendly, honest car repair business. They changed my oil and looked over my car while I waited. They noticed a couple extra general maintenance issues that they told me about, but didn't insist that I get them taken care of right then and there. Whereas some car places will really try to get you to keep spending more money, they didn't: they just gave it to me straight and gave me the option of coming back for some of the "extra" stuff later.
The people working were really polite and pleasant to do business with.
Oh, and they have free coffee/snacks! Can't go wrong
