We are a family owned and operated full service funeral home serving all denominations. We are located near many of the Pittsburgh areas largest cemeteries.

The William F. Gross Funeral Home was founded by William F. Gross with the idea that each family was special, and deserved nothing but the best and most compassionate care. Upon his tragic death, the ownership of the funeral home transferred to William's wife, Anne Gross. John Rosella started working at the funeral home many years ago, shortly after William Gross passed away.
Whether you have a religious service at our funeral home or at your place of worship or a service with a funeral celebrant and a non-religious affiliation, you are acknowledging the life of someone who you dearly loved. The best way to handle grief.is to grieve. And celebrate. Acknowledge the life and accomplishments of your loved one.
When you experience the death of a loved one, whether it be at home or in a health care facility, know that we are here for you 24 hours a day 365 days a year. If you are far away from home, you may put your trust in us to properly prepare the remains, arrange for safe tracked transportation via all major airlines both nationally and internationally.
As soon as you walk into our vestibule you will be greeted by our friendly staff and guided in the right direction for whatever your needs may be. Our spacious corridor provides plenty of room for friends to gather and reminisce about their favorite memories. Plenty of seating allows for you and your family to spread out and get comfortable throughout our home as if it was your own.

I cannot begin to say how great our experience was. It was an extremely difficult time for our family. Spencer Jones was wonderful to work with, detail oriented and so kind. Everything was managed professionally and personally. I am sad to write a review, to have had to use this business but honestly it is managed so very well.

Stanley and team did an amazing job with my father's home going service in 2018 - they have truly left a lasting impression! My dad said that he didn't want a funeral, so we made it more of a memorial for him so everyone could pay their respects and celebrate my dad's life. Stanley ensured that the Marine Corps vets would be in attendance to send my dad off properly with a gun salute and flag fold. As heartbroken as I am, I am thankful for the kindness, care, and professionalism that I experienced when making my dad's arrangements.
