We are beginning to welcome people back to our office for in person therapy sessions. During this transition we will continue to provide HIPAA-compliant online individual and couple's therapy for those who are not fully vaccinated or remain more comfortable with virtual sessions. Whatever challenges you are facing, we are here to help.

We've been helping our clients lead richer and fuller lives for over 30 years. Our goal? To help you make important changes and gain the skills and insights necessary to enrich your life and your relationships. When you choose The Brandywine Center, you can be sure you are in the best possible hands.
Services
At The Brandywine Center, our highly experienced and professional therapists draw from a variety of counseling perspectives to address your concerns. Although our clients come to us for many different reasons, their reactions to the therapy they receive are consistently positive. Within our walls, our clients talk about feeling valued, respected, understood, supported, and challenged, and know that we hold their privacy in the highest regard.
By learning to honor and experience the present, we can find solutions, identify possibilities, develop new skills, deepen our connection to ourselves and others, and enhance our capacity to respond rather than react to the experience of living.

Individual therapy (sometimes called "psychotherapy" or "counseling") is a collaborative process that facilitates change and improves your quality of life within the context of a safe and confidential one-on one relationship.People come to therapy for a wide variety of reasons, from coping with major life challenges or childhood trauma, to dealing with depression or anxiety, to desiring personal growth and greater self-actualization.
Do you and your partner get caught in the same old argument over and over, again and again?. If you are experiencing any of these or other problems in your relationship, you are not alone. Relationships with significant others can be the source of much joy and satisfaction, and they can also be the source of sorrow and pain.
Families can be created through biology, adoption, fostering, or through some specific act for deliberate connection. The idea of family can generate feelings of warmth and nurturance, but sometimes the reality of those feelings can, in part, be complex and painful. Family therapy, or meeting together with members of your "family", can help to rebuild trust, develop a better understanding of these relationships, and awaken feelings of closeness.
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples is one of the few therapies that really helps distressed couples create connection, safety, and loving feelings in their relationship, despite years of conflict, distance, betrayals, and hopelessness. If you are part of a couple that gets caught in the same old argument over and over, or if you feel distant from your partner, EFT can help.
