Animal Medical Center
At Auburn Animal Clinic, we understand the deep bonds between humans and their pets. We see and experience the love and dedication our clients provide to their pets on a daily basis. Our devoted veterinarians and hospital staff have served the Auburn community since 1982. Whether it's a routine check-up or an emergency, we strive to act quickly and provide our clients and their pets with skilled professional advice and care.

We are nationally accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) which holds us accountable for providing a higher standard of veterinary excellence.
Services
Animal Medical Center has been a part of the Auburn community since its doors opened in the early 1980s. Originally founded by Dr. Rich Jackson, the veterinary clinic has grown into a full-service animal hospital with nine veterinarians and a skilled team of technicians and support staff.

Animal Medical Center, along with its sister clinic South Auburn Veterinary Hospital offers all of your small pet's veterinary care needs, including preventive care, diagnostic services, boarding, and surgeries. Our commitment to the highest level of veterinary care is demonstrated by our AAHA accreditation.
Keeping pets at their healthiest relies on ongoing veterinary care. We offer a wide range of personalized pet care services under one roof. While we are a state-of-the-art vet clinic with a robust team, our approach is friendly, sincere, and welcoming. From annual wellness care to surgeries and critical care, your pet is in good hands with us.
When your pet doesn't feel well, figuring out what the problem is takes priority. After your pet receives a thorough examination, we may recommend diagnostics that can help us diagnose your pet and start the right treatment. Diagnostic services such as digital x-ray, lab work, and endoscopy, are all the essential tools of modern veterinary medicine.
Every pet deserves to live a long, happy life, free from pain. Therapeutic services and pain management help to alleviate pain and promote healing, and help to enhance quality of life. There are many conditions that can be treated through pain management therapies, including arthritis which is common in older pets.
When a pet requires surgery it can feel a little intimidating. You likely have many questions and concerns and want to ensure the best care for your companion. At Animal Medical Center we want to assure you every step of the way, including helping you care for your best friend after he or she returns home.

I've brought my animals to AMC for almost 20 years. I've had AMC large animal to the house for ranch calls and have brought dogs, cats, and parrots to small animal. Both Dr.Rich Jackson, his brother Kent and his staff have been family to my pets large and small for years.

I think the vets are here are commission. I've never in my 30 years of dog ownership paid just under $1000 for a routine dental cleaning for a 20lb dog. No major issues, just 3 small incisor extractions (teeth were already wiggly) Unreal. Not to mention that still have you waiting in the parking lot even though CDC does not require it.

Dr Rich performed surgery on my pet rat Scarlet when other vets didn't even want to try, and he saved her life! He is more caring than any vet (or doctor!) I've ever met. The center is very flexible and accommodating with their scheduling as well.

I've been very patient w/ this Vet office and have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I wouldn't recommend this vet office because of their lack of professionalism and timeliness. I used to live in Auburn and this was the closest Vet office at the time a couple years ago. Even then their front desk workers, talk very condescendingly and not like real humans speaking to humans. I ignored this annoying customer service voice they portray because they sound like young girls who just haven't learned how to use bed side manner yet. I've been here 3-4x. I recently brought

These people are efficient and friendly...they have you stay in your car & let them know you've arrived via your call to them. They send out a medical person who takes your animal inside. Afterwards, they bring it back out to you, tell & take your payment and you leave. My dog had vaccinations and liked the handler so much, he started to follow her back into the very place they put needles in his body!

We recently had the Animal Medical Center keep our dog Rudy for two days while we were on a much needed getaway to Reno. Molly came out to our car and Rudy was happy to see her as usual. They trimmed his nails and took great care of him. The entire staff of this Center is excellent and we highly recommend them.

Came in for my cat when she was passing some string.
Everyone was very polite and professional.
When the vet, Dayna Mills I believe, called to update me on my cats condition she was extremely helpful and answered all my questions patiently.
Instead of wanting to do unnecessary testing I was told to save my money for when I really needed it.
I would recommend them in case of emergency.

State and CDC say it's ok to open. Time to follow the science and talk to people face to face, not on the telephone from the next room.

I've had the misfortune of taking my dogs to 4 different Veterinarian clinics in the last 4 months. The two appointments at AMC Grass Valley have been by far the best experiences. Very short wait times to get in (less than 15 minutes), pet was treated quickly and released in well under an hour. Staff was understanding and treated our pet with kindness, Doctor Mario came out to talk to me face to face both times, and the bill didn't give me a heart attack. I highly recommend!

My daughter took her beagle to put her down on Monday. The hospital told her if she wanted to be with her inside, it would cost her more, than if they took her from the car ?? What the heck , that is terrible!!! I went there with my pet, but I won't be going there again !!!

I cant say enough about the Animal Medical Center. We have two amazing little rascals; A brother and sister team of ten year old Boston Terriers who have had the benefit of being cared for by the nurturing and professional team of Vets, Techs and office staff of this incredible facility since they were eight weeks old.
We recently had a scare with our little girl when an unusual looking mole popped up on her side. We took her in and had it tested. The initial assessment ran the range of severity. Obviously we were concerned and upset as to the possibilities that it could be cancer. Spread and

A good samaritan came in today frantically trying to get help for a cat someone else had run over on the road! It was crying and dying in pain and you guys had the nerve to turn her away because she wasn't the owner! She just wanted to help this poor injured pet that was suffering! How can you say you care about animals when turning down a dying animal in pain? Real animal lovers would do anything to save the suffering

We unfortunately had to put our 14 year old dog down suddenly due to cancer and other physical issues. We are not in the area full time so didn't have a vet that we knew or could trust. We were referred to the clinic by a friend and saw Dr. Anderson. We were met with kindness and compassion and were able to send our dog Kelli to the rainbow bridge with comfort and compassion. We were given a lot of time to say goodbye in our own way and the price was was reasonable. thank you Dr. Anderson and staff

Thanks to two skilled, caring vets, Drs. Rich Jackson and Dayna Mierke and the staff of the Animal Medical Center, our dog, Maddy, has a chance for survival and an opportunity to turn her winter of discontent into a glorious summer chasing squirrels and tennis balls and barking at the mailman and the U.P.S. driver.

Rich removed Maddy's 7lb cancerous spleen in a complicated and difficult operation. Maddy is recovering nicely. Hopefully the cancer hasn't metastasized.

The Animal Medical Center staff is outstanding. Unlike most medical offices, when you phone you talk to a real person

We love this place!! Switching all our animals over from North Fork (after a few bad experiences with customer service there). This place was the only clinic that had an opening for a somewhat critical issue that we needed to take our dog in for asap! We took our Chocolate Lab, Katie, in and turned out she needed a toe amputated. Cori Mulliken was the vet we saw and we will be asking for her for future appointments! She is very knowledgeable, makes you feel comfortable and did a great job on our Katie girl. The front desk is super nice and make you feel welcomed, the vet techs are super nice as

Best clinic, staff, and doctors. Myself and my family have taken our pets there and have always been treated well, professionally, kindly, and with great expertise. I highly recommend Dr Kent Jackson and would give this place 6 stars if I could.
They truly care about the well-being of your pets. Best veterinary hospital in the Auburn/Rocklin area! I wish I still lived there so I could continue taking my animals here. I have yet to find a better clinic.

With our recent evacuation from Sutter County we stayed with my parents in Penn Valley, and during that time my diabetic Yorkie needed more insulin & needles. The Vet and Staff were very pleasant and helpful. They were able to help us out in a crunch and we appreciate it BIG time!!!!
I would definitely go there if we lived in the area, but for now I recommend them to anyone who has pets and is looking for a new caring Veterinary office!!!!
