Services
At DeRoo Funeral Home, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.
It was here that the foundations were built for over seventy years of continuing service. The present location at 1611 Seventh Street, Moline, Illinois, was purchased in July of 1939 from Dr. Clarence Carlton. After extensive remodeling, the funeral home was opened in September of 1939. Further growth of the business was accommodated with the addition of a chapel and family room to the north end of the funeral home in 1952.
A funeral service is a way to bring family and friends together to commemorate the life of a loved one. It allows mourners the opportunity to support each other in a time of need and come together and share memories about the person who is being honored. Funeral services can also support the grieving process and help those mourning a loss move forward.
DeRoo Funeral Home Funeral Directors and staff members are caring and experienced professionals who are available every hour of every day to provide the necessary guidance, support and assistance that each family deserves during what is often a very difficult time.
The staff of DeRoo Funeral Home recognizes that the traditions and needs of each family vary, but you can be assured we will be flexible and listen to your individual funeral wishes, taking extra care to accommodate your own family's special customs, faith, and heritage.Throughout our over 75 years of service, there has never been a request we could not accommodate.

Many people today decide to make funeral planning easier by arranging funeral services in advance. Recording information and documenting requests before the time of need spares your family the responsibility of making funeral arrangements on what may be the most difficult day of their lives.
A carefully pre-planned funeral service can be comforting to your family members as it spares them from facing emotionally and financially difficult decisions at the time of death. When services have been decided before need, you and your family can have peace of mind, knowing everything has been planned just as you selected.

My sister-in-law visit and funeral was yesterday afternoon June 21st. Was a very full house. Had to use 2nd room for more seating. Almost full. You did not turn on microphone or speaker. We did not get to hear service at all. Was this intentional or some glich. Very disappointed by all in the full second room. Is this a "you get what you pay for?" We need to know. I apologize for my comments. Was just hurtful that service could not be heard.
