I've been taking the family pets ever since they were pups. And it has been under 2 doctor's they have been so gentle & loving with our pups thank you Alameda Animal Hospital for being there in the community of Compton since I was a young pup myself!

A very beautiful experience I had, recently took in my dog in to be put down and they did not rush they did not push they did everything to help, usually animal clinic smell and look bad but not this place it smelled very nice and was very clean and nice. The staff was very nice and I don't think the price is to much actually they where cheaper then the other places I looked around, I'd recommend this place.
Services
Alameda Animal Hospital is proud to serve Compton, CA and surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing the highest level of veterinary medicine along with friendly, compassionate service. We believe in treating every patient as if they were our own pet, and giving them the same loving attention and care.
We are extremely proud of our dedicated team. We hire only the best and most experienced employees to become a part of our team here at Alameda Animal Hospital. Our team is filled with highly dedicated animal lovers who are well trained at their jobs. They will do anything possible for their patients and the owners who love them.
As veterinary medicine becomes more technologically advanced, the cost of care increases because of the higher costs associated with the equipment, facilities and training required to provide these higher-quality services. For some, the cost of care can cause some anxiety. Pet insurance can help by offsetting some or most of the costs of diagnosing, treating and managing your pet's illness or injury.
What are vaccines? A biological substance that is given to protect against disease causing organisms (bacteria or viruses). How are vaccines given? Vaccines are commonly given as an injection. There are some vaccines such as the Bordetella vaccine that are given orally or intranasally. When should vaccines be given?
Dogs and cats are affected by periodontal disease just like humans. If left unmanaged the bacteria in the mouth can build up on and beneath the gum line and cause periodontal disease. Periodontal disease is the destruction of bone, gum tissue and structures that hold the teeth in place. Periodontal disease is painful and can have effects on the heart, liver and kidneys.

I love this place for my cat. Dr Neal and her staff do a terrific job. She explains in detail things about your animal, your options and what to do. Most times were in and out in. Clean and up to date with Covid 19 Precautions.

I came here once before, maybe five years or so ago, with my kitten and he received adequate care at a fairly reasonable price. I came here again recently for my adult cat, but feel like I was swindled by money hungry employees. They charged me nearly $1000 for his treatment. They gave me a longgggggg list of things he apparently needed. When I asked them if alllllll of the items on the list they gave me were necessary for my cat, the vet tech that serviced us responded with an attitude and claimed that everything was absolutely necessary for my cat to get better. When I told them I didn't

Wow, what an experience for my daughter today. Being only one person is allowed in the room, the staff was very accommodating in letting my 9 year old to be with Tyson. My daughter felt so grown up. Dr. Brittany Neal was excellent, and took her time when conversing about our pup. I highly recommend this place for your furry family members. My 16yo Jack Russell Terrier was suffering from a heart murmur and pulmonary edema. Her time was up and Dr.Neal and staff were very compassionate and supportive through the whole time. The prices were reasonable and the way they allowed me to be there for my dog's last moments were perfect. Thank you Alameda Animal Hospital!

This place is really good. The staff is really nice. I came as a walk in they attended my dog very kindly. My dog had an infection caused by foxtail embedded into his skin the vet took him in to get it removed and cleaned his infection the same day. The initial price was around 500$ but they took off optional things my dog didn't really need which brought down the price to around 200$. I had a very good experience very nice people. My dog is good now his infection went away with the help of the medication they prescribed and he's back to his old energetic self. (Here's pictures of him in the vet

Brought my new pup here. No wait when I walked in and good thing they take appointments. The ladies up front were very nice. We were out into one of the rooms where they checked my pup and were gentle and playful with her. The Dr was awesome nice young female I believe her name was Dr. Neal she explained things and made me feel comfortable. Reasonably priced. Street parking or small lot located behind the building. Bring your animal big or small

Though this hospital couldn't help my dog, it was such a pleasure coming here. It was very very very clean, professional, efficient, and no wait time. Dr. Neil and Ari were very nice to my dog and I.
My dog was bleeding, as I was trying to wipe it Ari told me it was OK not to be embarrassed that was her job that they would do it. This vet hospital smelled clean it smelled good , as I walked in the room the doctor was there already. Versus other Vet's that you have to wait and wait ,I think I waited the most was 15 minutes , and they had to make a couple calls to different hospitals

We found our Charlie's new Dr! Our boxer was ready for neutering and this place made us feel so welcoming and warm. It was nerve-wrecking to find a good, honest place. Our family is new to the area, so calling around was hard when the people on the other end didn't sound so nice, especially when you are planning to put your pup through surgery. Excellent customer service for the receptionist here. They went over his surgery and Dr. Neal gave us a call the next morning to check in on our little one. They feel very honest and not pushy at all in my opinion. We had a recent follow up and

I have gone to Dr. Gibson for over 15 years, with different dogs, never had a problem. I currently have two dogs. In January 2018, I took my male dog to the Alameda Animal Hospital for Rabies Vaccination. Dr. Gibson took his temperature, listened to his heart gave him the rabies vaccination (3 Years) and I was charged $13.00. In April 2018, I took my female dog to the Alameda Animal Hospital for Rabies Vaccination. A female doctor took her temperature, listened to her heart and gave her the rabies vaccination (1 Year) and I was charged $52.25. I was instructed to wait in the lobby for the

Under new management, a brighter nicer looking office, but gone are the personable, family like service and reasonable pricing. Receptionist Jason is slow and not informative. Whatever happened to kind words, " I'll be right with you" "we are little busy right now but will get to you shortly" I signed in advised I was there to only pick up medicine, he said ok, 30 minutes later I approach the counter to ask for meds that he stated were ready yesterday. The new person reaches under counter and rings up my purchase.. I was like what the heck#*@#**

DO NOT GO HERE! Dr Gibson has sold his practice to a scammer!!!
So sad to see Dr Gibson go. He took care of our dogs for over 20years and now the new team is there for the money only. We took on our sick dog and the vet refused to give treatment unless we ran ridiculously expansive exams. I'm a family physician and there is no reason to run these test...I guess it's time to find another vet...

We have 3 dogs, and have been to many veterinary clinics but none compare to this one. Dr. Gibson is the sweetest and really seems to care about the well-being of animals. Our dog dislocated her hip, we were told by another veterinary hospital that the only remedy was surgery. We came here for a second opinion by recommendation of family. Glad we did! We were given OPTIONS for treatment, something most other places don't do in an attempt to charge more. Dr. Gibson is very patient and profession with many years of experience, we would highly recommend this place. Also, they have a really nice

Love this animal hospital !! There always been there for me. My dog got bit by another dog on the neck. he was bleeding so much closing his eyes. I thought I was gonna loose him. I called alameda hospital and they said they weren't on open hours but that he will open earlier for my emergency. They opened an hour earlier just for my dog! I took the same dog to get neutered and everything came out great the medication said cut into 4 pieces and give one a day maybe people get mistaken and give the whole tablet remember read the directions carefully and everything will come out fine :) and now
