Nice view, wonderful wait staff. Mushy, gross fried flounder. Tasteless non-offensive clam strips. Sad when the best part of your meal is the collard greens, which were good. Hush puppies tasted like donut holes without the cinnamon. Slaw was tasty, husband says his shrimp were good.

Bought the catfish tasted like frozen TV dinner my wife had the steak and shrimp. The steak had no flavor but was cooked good, the shrimp was so oily couldn't eat them the greens tasted like they where out of a can but the server was very nice, the food is not worth the money should have gotten a Big Mac at McDonald's.

Nice waiter, beautiful view. Food not good, super greasy. Small portions compared to the place next to it. We thought of trying something new but won't go back

Great experience! The waitress was amazing! So kind, gave us great tips on the menu, added extra item for the oysters they were out of. The food was yummy! We had 8 people and everyone enjoyed the food. The view was fantastic! There is also a great outside eating place as well.

This restaurant needs to have new management or just shut down. Ordered seafood platter, didn’t have oysters, substituted with a few claims. Waitress needs to be retrained-didn’t bring out hush puppies until we were half through our meal, the fried shrimp & fish tasted like they been soaked in grease with breading. Waitress also brought out tarter & cocktail sauce after asking her for some about half way through the meal. Thees meals and service were not worth $68, more like $3.95 max. !!!!!!

Absolutely terrible, I've had better seafood in Ohio. My sides were brought out but not my soup appetizer nor my main course. By the time I got main course sides were cold. Staff did not even offer to replace. I will not eat here again.

It had been 3 or more years since I've been in this area to eat. We wanted to give Dockside a try. I don't know if we could have made a better choice.
We were given a choice of dining inside or outside on the deck. We chose to go outside since it was a mild, bright afternoon. The outside dining area is very impressive with beautiful live plants tastefully arranged throughout the area. There are oscillating fans above head to keep the area as cool as possible.
Jessica was our server and was equally as impressive as the restaurant's atmosphere. She was personable and friendly and was on point with

My wife and I love broiled seafood. We had tried another popular place in Calabash as well as one in Ocean Isle but were disappointed. We had read reviews of the Dockside’s broiled seafood and were not disappointed. We went there August 31, 2021 for our anniversary. The coconut shrimp appetizer was great and the broiled seafood platter - the oysters was fantastic. So we.
tried the key lime pie which is there only dessert, and it was delicious. The waiter was very nice and we had a nice conversation with him. He was very attentive to our needs and was a car buff like us.
We had a very lovely

We heard good things about this restaurant. Unfortunately the service was good but the entrees lacked any any wow I want to return for more. My wife and I had shrimp scampi and shrimp piccata. A place like this, I expected real shrimp as it is right along the dock. But our meals were served with what I call a salad shrimp. I found piccata good otherwise but the wife's scampi required some doctoring. Like I stated service very good but I don't have a desire for a meal like that again. Not sure why they would serve such a poor shrimp product at a dockside restaurant.

Everything on seafood platter was overcooked (shrimp, scallops, flounder, deviled crab, & fried oysters), which is surprising since food was only luke warm when it got to our table. Probable due to sitting in kit hen waiting for someone to order (food was on table in ~5 mins after placing order :-O).

Shrimp & scallops were TINY, as was deviled crab (shell was definitely of legal / keeper size).

On vacation heard this place had good food with that being said I got the broild seafood platter, which was extremely watery and tasteless. Shrimp looked like cocktail shrimp from a bag, scallops about the size of the end of your thumb, deviled crab tasted like past. Spent $50.00 for dinner for two left hunger than when when I arrived lots of other places available do your research so you don't have the same experience as I did
Will never go back

Seated 10 minutes before anyone approached us (others seated after us were waited on before us) then deeply disappointed when our meals came. Stuffed flounder was dry and stuffed with tons of peppers with no shrimp or crab to be found. Other broiled seafood platter was bland and watery. $50 wasted, won't return.

Really liked this place. Came to the area to go to the Waterfront Cafe, but they couldn't accommodate our party of 14 so we landed here instead.

They quickly pushed tables together and took our drink orders. One waitress handled the whole party, and did a phenomenal job.

Started with a side salad with blue cheese dressing. The salad was good, but the dressing was outstanding! Big chunks of blue cheese.

Had the seafood deluxe platter. Came out on a small plate which had me scratching my head, but it turned out to be more food than anyone could eat. Also got the vegetable of the day

We arrived and was seated in a reasonable time. The waitress was very attentive to our needs, but when the food came out, my husband's prime rib was very cold to the touch all the way around. We told the waitress and she brought it back out, after putting in the broiler to heat it up. The steak had no flavor for a $23.00 steak. The green beans had no seasoning on them and my prime rib sandwich was dry to where I didn't even eat half of it. No discount on the food whatsoever. A couple beside us complained as well of having over cooked shrimp and cold deviled crab. Another couple across

This is a great spot to get away with the family for a good southern cooked meal. It is simple with a warm atmosphere and great scenic views. The menu has lots of good choices and each meal comes with the best hush puppies. Service is good with a classic southern charm.

Very pleased and satisfied. Food was great. Scallops were just slightly over cooked, and the same for the fried oysters. However great service, great food, and a great local.

A must when visiting the beach with family. We always make our way down to calabash for some calabash style seafood. Always consistent good! It's my choice of seafood if I had to choose from all the calabash restaurants down there.

This has been a family favorite of ours as long as we have ever been vacationing in myrtle beach . Portions are always generous and food is always yummy . Sweet tea is also very good . We always walk into the pier and take a few family vacation photos while we're waiting to be seated . Definitely worth the wait ! You get what you pay for !

By far, the best seafood we've had on this trip. A short drive over from Myrtle to Calabash is well worth it. The restaurant is in a great location along with several other restaurants and overlooking the waterfront. I got the seafood platter, which was great as all lightly battered items were just right. Great service and great food!

I really don't like giving 1 star reviews, but I'm stuck between and 1 and 2 so let's say 1.5. I see Cap'n Nance's is a 3; I had a much better dining experience there than at Dockside. And I've ate at Dockside before, wasn't impressed then and I'm still not impressed. Gosh, is it asking too much for there to be silverware at your table before you sit down, instead of getting it after the food is delivered to your table?? My flounder was okay but my better half's was definitely not okay, way overcooked., though she did say she liked the scallops. The

There are too many good seafood places around to go here. The location is great with a beautiful view but the food is not good at all. The fish was not seasoned at all. All the food was very bland. My wife's shrimp was tasteless and over cooked. The green beans tasted like they where just poured from a can and warmed up. No seasoning whatsoever.

This great location and view deserves a much better restaurant.

Prices have gone up while the portion size and food quality has gone down. Very disappointing.
Loved going to Dockside as a youngster but unfortunately the only great thing that remains are the hush puppies.
The fish and shrimp were fairly tasteless while the stuffed crab was gummy. I understand rising food costs but if you lower the quality while raising the prices, people won't come back. I think they even cut back on the amount of sugar in the sweet tea. Sacrilege!
I used to be satisfied with the senior choose two options but I have to say, now it's little more than a snack. I&apos
