The atmosphere and the staff were absolutely wonderful! There was a little bit of a wait, but so worth it! The food is delicious!! I will definitely stop here next time we're in Myrtle Beach!

Locally owned and operated. First they brought out a basket of what looked like hush puppies, but were better than any hush puppies I've ever had before. Served with honey butter. (YUM!) I had the Dixie Chicken and my friend had the special of the day which was fried catfish. One of the sides with the catfish was tomato pie. Amazing flavor. (I want the recipe!) Both meals were excellent and perfectly cooked. Great food, great service, friendly staff and great prices. I highly recommend The Shack. Absolutely delicious home cooked southern food.

My first time here and will not be my last time. The hush puppies with honey butter are the perfect start to the perfect dinner. The fried flounder and shrimp were great.

Great food and prices on complete meals. Entree and two sides (three with dessert) for less than $12. Service was very attentive.

The fried chicken was super dry but everything else was omg delicious that didn’t even matter!!!! Best macaroni I’ve ever ate!

Had about a 20 min wait, but the food and service was well worth it! The cheesecake was the best I've ever had (forgot to take a pic)!

Simple, throwback, small town feel eatery offering a wide variety from the sea, salads, steak, burgers, chicken and so much more. My grilled shrimp platter came hot and tastily done. Nice seared texture and a side of tarter sauce that had a little zing to it. I’m a big fan of hot food. Side fries and sweet coleslaw complemented the meal. The wife’s shrimp Caesar salad came with the same seared shrimp on a bed of fresh greens and nicely tossed with croutons and Caesar dressing. Service was friendly, food hot and fast and the chance of returning very good.
