Services
With cremation, services and memorialization can take many forms. All of them hold emotional value for the family and provide a time for remembering the deceased. It is important to understand that the need to honor and remember a loved one holds true for all individuals.

Grief experts cite many benefits of gatherings, ceremonies, and other types of services in helping the bereaved deal with their grief, and in providing family and friends a time to support one another and honor a loved one. When choosing cremation, you have many options for creating a unique and personalized service.
Most of us plan ahead in life. We plan for our wedding, our children's education, family vacations, and other significant expected life events. We also plan for the unexpected events of life by purchasing home, auto and medical insurance. Understanding the benefits of pre-planning has prompted many to take the step to plan their own arrangements.
Many who have undergone the emotional strain of arranging a funeral within hours of losing a loved one have made the choice to pre-plan their own funeral. Doing so lifts the burden from their loved ones by relieving decision-making pressure at a time of grief and emotional stress. Funeral arrangements are a deeply personal choice.
Someone you love has died. You are now faced with the difficult, but important, need to mourn. Mourning is the open expression of your thoughts and feelings regarding the death and the person who died. It is an essential part of healing. The following articles provide many practical suggestions to help you move toward healing in your unique grief journey.
Most of us are not prepared to plan and carry out a funeral ceremony for someone we love. And so much of the information available on this critically important subject fails to focus on what is most important: having a personalized, meaningful funeral that helps families and friends begin the healing process of mourning after the death of someone we love.

Our family has a family history since Laurin funeral home started. Our resent service for our mother Diane Jeffrey. Scott had a meeting on all our wishes for our dear mother. Our family had a loss of our dear brother 5 years ago. I had to plan the service for him because that was his wish as well. All alone having to plan the first one myself. Scott got me through such a hard and difficult time. He handled everything and help put less stress for me. My mother also had her mother, father and brothers services there through the years. There has also have had aunts and uncles and other family members

My husband's family recently lost their father. They had never planned a funeral and were unsure of all that needed to be done. Scott was absolutely wonderful. He explained everything to the family with patience and understanding. He took care of every detail. Our family truly appreciates your kindness. Thank you.

Did not honor irrevocable contract, tried to nickel and dime a previous pre-planning contract. Be warned that the 3rd generation makes your time of need, the worst experience
