DeWayne & Stephanie Hughes are the current owners of Hughes Family Tribute Center, and are dedicated to celebrating the life story of your loved one! Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Dudley M. Hughes, Sr. came to Oak Cliff with his family in 1919, attended Adamson High School and was known as a standout second-baseman in his youth.
Since 1919, Hughes Family Tribute Center has been serving the community through the many programs and services we offer throughout the year. Here is a list of events we help sponsor in our community and we invite you to join us in the future. Operation Valentine - Every Valentine's Day, we get together people in our community to send Valentine's Day cards to military service personnel that is overseas.
When it comes to your final event, how do you want your life celebrated? You know it will be a painful time for your loved ones, and you don't want to burden them unnecessarily with the difficult task of having to make all of your final arrangements at the last minute when they're just trying to deal with the grief from their loss.

This was the third passing of immediate family in 18mos. Hughes Family Tribute Center walked me through all three processes. My father was first, my mother second, and the last one was my twin brother. That one hit me the hardest because it was a surprise passing. We did not have a public ceremony, but as an unexpected blessing, Stephanie drove the body to the cemetery where she stood with me as he was lowered into the ground. Then she said a most appropriate prayer. Her prayer held many details in it which showed me she took an interest in me at this time by paying attention to our family situation

I don't even know where to begin with my review. Unfortunately I had to have two funerals in the past three years. My family had to say goodbye to my husband and son. Stephanie is one kind she sits down with you and ask questions about your loved one and family and she creates a beautiful celebration of life and funeral for you and your loved ones. With so many details when you walk into the funeral home you would of thought she knew the family personally. Stephanie her family and her staff are compassionate, caring and so helpful. I could on and on but I think you get the just of what I am trying

We truly cannot say enough good things about Stephanie, Ryan and the staff. They were able to take a very sorrowful day and turn it into a celebration of the life of our son beyond what we could have imagined. They went above and beyond in taking care of all of the details and were so kind, informative and professional. On November 12, 2021, my father passed away unexpectedly. It was shocking and extremely difficult to grasp the concept that he was gone so it was nearly impossible to even think of planning his service. I'm Mexican and as much as my culture reveres death, we hardly ever discuss death much less plan for it. Therefore I found myself with the daunting job to not only find a funeral home to have his services but find one that would not cripple our finances.

I want first to thank the staff here ! Especially Ryan. This was such a difficult time for my family and I but Ryan from the moment we sat down I just had this peace knowing this was the place to chose after going to several places ! Their understanding during this time for families is by far so remarkable! Ryan took time to explain everything to us and was extremely patient and extremely kind . This location is nice and spacious and clean and just very nice. The job they did to give my brother the most beautiful funeral viewing was beyond words they outdid themselves! I highly highly recommend

My husband passed on September 1st 2021. It was so hard to get the courage to even be around the planning of his funeral because I couldn't handle doing anything on my own. My sister in law would call name businesses and all they cared about was telling us the prices and what day we needed to get things done. Not Hughes family tribute center. We walked into there building and Stephanie treated us so well, she showed us everything from the crematory to where the service took place. They even showed us their dedication tables that they put up that show what our loved one was interested in when alive

My grandmother passed away in May 2021, Hughes family tribute center was definitely the obvious choice. It was the most outstanding service and celebration of life,I’ve ever been to. They truly understand the meaning of celebration of life, the staff were top tier, the details, the decoration were magical. What was suppose to be a really tough day, turned into an event that truly embraced my grandmother in the most wonderful light. Thank you again for your service and compassion. The Hughes family has been so caring, kind, gentle, and wonderful through the sudden passing of my brother-in-law. They helped me along every step of the way and were quick to be available to me whenever I had questions. They decorated beautifully, and went above and beyond what I was expecting in their attention to detail. I'm so thankful for all that they have done for us!

just beyond comprehension...
we had to ask the attendant 3 times to call the police
Asked about there camera system... or security on the premises...
response was ... no we don't do that

Having called four other funeral homes, my wife felt that Hughes was the most genuinely caring for our infant grandson. We worked with Stephanie and Pete who could not have been more sensitive to us in a very difficult time. The prices are very reasonable and we were never once offered any up sells. The home is run by the fourth generation of the Hughes family and several left successful careers to work here. They are also in the process of a remodel that will improve the facilities, but you will want to work with Hughes for the people.

Stephanie Hughes was a wonderful help!! When my father passed away and after calling 4 different funeral homes, Stephanie was the only one to answer in the middle of the night. She allowed us to actually relax in the sense that we did not have to worry about how my dad would be treated after leaving the hospital. They truly believe in making it a family tribute center. Family run funeral home with Amazing staff. This funeral home truly is family oriented. They know how to work with a family and love them through a difficult time. I've been blessed as a Bereavement doula to work alongside them to help multiple families with arrangements & grieve. They are such a blessing in a very dark time.
