T.J. Fluehr Funeral Home and Cremation Service is a family-owned funeral home in Philadelphia, PA. Our funeral director and staff are committed to providing quality service, personal attention, and sensitive care. We are honored by the trust Philadelphia families have placed in our funeral home for more than a century and we will use our expertise and compassionate understanding to help your family through this difficult time.

A funeral service and visitation at our funeral home provides the opportunity for friends and family to say goodbye and aids in the grieving process. Families choose to honor the life of their loved one in many ways, including visitation at the funeral home or other facility, family gatherings, displays of mementos and photographs, funeral services in churches, homes, or places special to the loved one, and graveside services.
Services
Founded in 1908 by Harold B. Mulligan, Mulligan Funeral Home became synonymous with caring compassionate service to all those in need. Over the years, Harold B. Mulligan became known not only for his business accomplishments, but also his humanitarian deeds.

Presidential commendations for his care of veterans who lost their lives in the line of service, the founding of the Philadelphia Home for the Blind and the founding of the "Happy Times Club" which provided hot lunch meals daily to local children were all part of Mr. Mulligan's legacy.Licensed as a Funeral Director in 1996, T.J. Fluehr follows a family tradition of service to the Philadelphia area.
Funeral services offers comfort. Viewing the embalmed body in a peaceful state during visitation makes it easier for family and friends to say goodbye and to gain closure. Private time is reserved for family before the public visitation. Floral arrangements, photographs, personal mementos and other special items foster memories and help us pay honor to the life lived.
Cremation is a personal and family decision that is often part of a final tribute to a loved one. Families may be unaware of the options they have and decisions they may need to make when a loved one dies. Remember, cremation does not limit your choices in creating a final memorial, or visitation. After cremation, remains may be placed in an urn and the memorialization of your choice can then be fulfilled.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.
Crisis, Grief and Healing - Webhealing.com, the first interactive grief website on the internet, offers discussion boards, articles, book suggestions, and advice for men and women working through every aspect of grief. The site's founder, Tom Golden LCSW, has provided book excerpts and contact information to help those healing from loss.

It may seem odd to review a funeral home but I can't say enough about TJ,Korinne and the entire staff. Korinne was exceptionally kind and attentive. She made herself available for any questions and always followed up quickly. TJ made sure everything was to our satisfaction during the entire process. He treated our family with so much respect. This is a difficult time for any family but by the end it felt like it they were a part of our family.

The staff at T. J. Fluehr Funeral Home exemplify professionalism to the utmost. My family and I recently buried my brother last month, and we have nothing but praise for T. J. and the entire staff of the funeral home. From the very first phone call placed to T. J. on April 4th, notifying him that my brother had passed, up to last week when we needed one more box of " thank you " cards, the service has been impeccable.T. J. and the staff were there to support our family in whatever capacity was needed. On our initial visit, the day after my brother passed, T. J. sat with us, in our exhausted and
