1. Payment is expected when services are rendered. In order to focus on our patients' needs, customer service and minimizing costs, we do not bill. 2. We accept debit cards, credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express) and cash. All cards must be signed by the owner of the card. 3. When unexpected illness strikes a pet, unexpected expense strikes as well.
Dr. Marcus Smith and his experienced staff offer exceptional care for your pet's veterinary needs. I am a New Jersey native, but have been down south for over 18 years. While growing up in New Jersey I was involved in the family business of horse racing. My involvement in the daily care of horses and exposure to the variety of medical needs required by the horses kickstarted pursuit of becoming a veterinarian.
We believe that prevention and proper diagnostics help enhance and extend your fur kid's life. As pets age, their needs differ from younger fur kids, similar to humans. Unlike humans, they cannot express pain or other abnormalities. This is why the veterinary - pet parent relationship is so important.

Just like with human doctors, it’s important to find a vet that truly listens and understands your concerns. While we may not be experts in vet med, we do usually know our pets best. My last vet was very nice and knowledgeable, but did not seem to understand my concerns about Maya’s anxiety and basically just dismissed them. I first took Maya to CAC for grooming and was so impressed with how responsive and helpful their office was. So I decided to try them as her vet. Dr. Dawkins was fantastic with Maya. The care and professionalism at this practice is outstanding. We had an emergency situation with our elderly dog and were directed to CAC because it was close to our home. Valiant efforts were made to save our sweet girl, but unfortunately she passed away. Though we are not regular clients, Dr. Smith and the CAC staff were warm, caring, and phenomenal in such a heartbreaking situation. They gave us time and space to say goodbye and we are eternally grateful (the picture shows the sign they had on the door of the room we were in). We highly recommend.

I’ve been going to Chattahoochee Animal Clinic for about 3 years now. Dr. Smith has always great!
I never write reviews for anything, but he really went above and beyond for my dog so I had to share my experience. My Yorkie wasn’t feeling well tonight and I emailed to see if I should bring her in tomorrow. I figured I would get a response in the morning, but Dr. Smith almost immediately responded to my email. Without his quick response I would’ve been up all night worrying and over thinking.

Dr. Smith and his team always take great care of our two dogs, Teddy and Charlie. Everyone takes the time to answer any question we have, ensure our boys are happy and healthy, and always do a great job making them feel comfortable. A special thanks to both Chris and Warren. You both are wonderful with Teddy and Charlie. Their anxiety level always goes way down when they know you’re there helping them. We've been going to Chattahoochee Animal Clinic since before Dr. Smith bought it, and we just love it (especially with him as owner). As a vet, he's gentle and focused on the animals, causing our anxious pup to be at ease almost instantly. He's honest and straight-forward with owners, and he has this incredible talent of recognizing how much we love our pets while also being a strong advocate for our pets' needs since they don't have a voice. We've had to make the impossible decision to put two of our dogs to sleep, and Dr. Smith was exactly the vet to have by your side. He knew it was the hardest

I would recommend Chattahoochee Animal clinic to any pet lover out there! They haven’t taken great care of my epileptic dog and have stayed late to provide emergency care at the end of the day. I had a prescription issue with a pharmacy and Dr Smith called on Saturday and Sunday to be sure the issue was resolved. These folks work hard, care about your fur babies (I have cats too) and do great work!

We brought our dog in due to her having stomach issues. They did an X-Ray and saw something hard in her stomach. Dr. Smith said most likely it was a piece of bone. He advised we leave her there all day and see if it moves into GI Tract. By the end of the day, it hasn't moved. He recommended immediate surgery due to the fact that this "object" would cause more problems if it wasn't removed.
We agreed to the surgery, paid the money, and waited... a few hours later, we get a call from the vet-tech asking if we had given her Pepto

I boarded my 5 month old kittens here for a week at the end of December. I was nervous because I had never left them before. The communication between the clinic and myself was great. The front office staff are super kind. I felt confident my kittens were in good hands and they were. I brought my own cat food for them and paid a little extra for them to both have one on one playtime since my 2 kitties couldn't be in the same kennel. Overall it was a good experience. When you need a vet it almost always ends up in a dire emergency. I had just moved to the Atlanta area with my cat and something happened to his eye and I needed to get it checked out ASAP. I did a little Yelp research and went with this clinic. They were amazing. Making a reservation was simple, they were organized and efficient with the Covid protocol and their staff was so kind! I stumbled upon this amazing location seeking a secondary evaluation for the terminal illness with one of my pets. I was compassionately met with an almost shocking amount of empathy from every staffer on board in the height of the pandemic. My rescue dog is a spazz. Literally. She is nervous around everyone and everything. When we first came to CAC, however, I knew we finally found the right clinic for her. The front office staff is amazing, and they work with you to help make sure your pet is as comfortable as possible. They always help me plan a time to make sure my pup can come in through an empty waiting room and directly into a lab room. I have been to alot of vets over the years with my pets. I live this vet because they very caring and knowledgable. I have used them for overnight stays, surgeries and check ups. I would recommend them to most people. When price checking with other local and national brand vets they are better priced or equivalent while being better quality.

Dr. Dawkins and Dr. Smith are so wonderful! They always go above and beyond and they have been so helpful with treating and taking care of my dog who has chronic bladder infections/UTIs. Dr. Dawkins called my dog's surgeon and went over her file for an hour to get a full medical history on my pup when we first started coming to Chattahoochee. Dr. Smith is similarly attentive, and he always does a great job to explain everything and answer any questions. Dr. Smith always loves on my pups during every visit to make sure they are happy and comfortable with him. I honestly cannot recommend one

We knew about CAC because the rescue we adopted our puppy from went here for her initial vaccines. The people here are AWESOME. While all of the staff is great, we especially love Nicole and Dr. Dawkins! Nicole was super accommodating and helpful, making it such a pleasant experience. Our first visit we had Dr. Smith and he was good at his job but didn't really interact with us. Dr. Dawkins was very thorough and took the time to explain all the vaccinations to us. You can tell Nicole and Dr. Dawkins really love their jobs!

I used CAC for a grooming appointment since my dog was long overdue for a cut. I had missed his appointment with his regular groomer and they we're booked 2 weeks out. I knew my poor little guy was uncomfortable because he was scratching and biting at his coat.
Kristin was great to get me in, considering it was semi-urgent. She worked with me to jump through the loops to get copies of all his vet records. I appreciated that they require this even for grooming.

When my husband and I moved from Atlanta to Roswell, my main concern was finding a vet that would take as good of care as my fur-baby as The Ark did in Atlanta. Upon asking around, my friends all recommended CAC. They are conveniently located in walking distance from our house, so I gave them a go, and have never looked back. Dr. Smith is fantastic with my 3 year old lab. He takes the time to explain all treatments, vaccinations, causes of issues, and will answer any questions you have. I happened upon Chattahoochee Animal Clinic when I was looking for a new animal clinic to take my dog to on Google. So, I gave them a call and scheduled her first appointment with them. When I called them, the person that took my phone call was extremely friendly and pleasant. I told her that I needed to schedule an an appointment to have my dog examined and she was able to get me scheduled for the very next day in the afternoon.
When I arrived, I was greeted with a friendly "hello" and was asked to sign in. I waited no more than a good five minutes in the lobby before being taken back

My expectations... I was referred by the Roswell emergency clinic . Our dog was at the emergency clinic all night long and needed to be on an IV drip the next day and watched closely. From the moment I stepped into Chattahoocee Animal Hospital everyone was excellent. I received several calls throughout the day updating me . These folks are the best and Dr Smith is brilliant and very kind.

I would recommend against using these facilities. Not a great groomer. They tend to do what they would like as apposed to what's requested. Even after clarifying expectations and discussion of what is reasonable.
I've used this groomer twice. However, not without difficultly and surprise charges on both events. I'm wholly unsatisfied with them as groomers and service of veterinary care.
I will not be returning to this facility. The puppies will not be returning to this clinic.
