Told them the issues we had with the car...car runs fine most of the time, but occasional check engine light comes on and then goes off. I just wanted to have the vehicle checked before my daughter left town and a piece of replacement trim put on the exterior of the vehicle.
Keeton Auto Repair charges $155.24 to "inspect your car"...as I have now learned you are basically paying them to look for the high ticket repairs your car might "have". They came back with repairs that would cost $2800 on a 4 year old car with 40,000 miles on it. The "report" they provided even said "none found" regarding

First time car owner, don't know much about cars but I trust I can come to Keeton's and they will tell me what needs to happen and not try to oversell anything to me! I very much appreciate that the oil changes come with seasonal inspections since I have no idea what maintenance I should be keeping an eye on for the car.

Keeton Auto Repair came through in the clutch. My daughter had a check engine light come on and ultimately repairs were needed. She is a student at KU Every place I contacted in Lawrence pushed me out 2-3 weeks. This wasn’t an option. I contacted Keeton and not only did they offer to see the car right away but they made the repairs quicker than quoted. They saved the day. I worked with Tim at Keeton auto repair and he was awesome. Communication was excellent and I am extremely grateful for their outstanding service. This team has earned all of my future business!!

I had an unusual problem as the back door latch was damaged by another repair company. In trying to repair it myself a drill bit became lodged and even trying to get it out was impossible. Keeton was not only able to get the drill bit out but able to rethread the bolts used to replace it. I was impressed with not only the workmanship but the professional respect you gave to my problem. We are happy to have discovered Keeton Auto Repair. They were recommended to us by a friend as a trustworthy and reliable local, woman-owned business and we have been very pleased all three times we have used them in the last 2 months. Our son's car had engine failure and they helped me after hours to know how to get it towed to them that night, looked at it quickly the next day, and were honest about the fact that it couldn't be repaired so didn't recommend spending any money on it. They have also done oil changes for us and are always pleasant to deal with and very professional. We are fans!

Wonderful people and very honest place! I was having some issues with my car and Mary made sure to walk through everything with me, knowing I was on a tight budget they were able to work with me to get what I absolutely needed done and have a plan for everything else. Even better, they were able to get me in quickly and the turnaround was great! I came back for another minor repair and will continue to use them when I'm in the area. They definitely go above and beyond, I've never had such a great experience when dealing with car repairs. I Will always recommend them!

One of the better mechanics/shops in the area based on what I experienced. They got me right in to diagnose a limp mode on my truck (plus needed a bumper to bumper inspection as I had acquired the truck last year and just needed to make sure it was operating well - didn't have records of maintenance on it). For reference it is a 15 year old diesel. Took it in on a Friday and they were able to get it on the rack, sent me a text message with a report that was easy to follow, recommended critical and non critical elements, even had pictures and reference points to support their recommendations

I love this place. I never feel like they are trying to get more work than what is needed. They do inspections and email pictures so I can evaluate for myself if I want a filter replaced, etc.
Also, I really like to support local, family businesses when I can. It's a nice perk when the service is friendlier than at a typical chain too.

We've had all of the routine work on our car, like oil changes and tire patches, done at Keeton a number of times and never had any issues. The people we interacted with were always professional and informative.
After having our water pump replaced and our tires rotated, however, our car has started screeching extremely loudly. When the engine starts and/or the tires turn it screeches so loudly and consistently you can plainly hear it indoors. Took my 2000 Corvette in for front brakes. They took a complete inspection of the needs of my vehicle. They found other issues with the front end. No work was done until I approved it. Some I declined, some I excepted. Sent me a complete profile inspection of my ride with different color codes to alert me of immediate needs. Agreed to the front end work. Not cheap but it is also a Corvette. So...... This vehicle has never driven better. So fun. !!

Great experience. I had my Dodge at a Dodge dealer for over 2 months and they could not figure out the electrical non starting cause. They basically gave up. I had it towed to Keeton and After about 3 hours, Keeton had a full diagnosis and identified the problem. They also texted full inspection with pictures. Has been running great since. Thanks.

Very satisfied. They are a new business in a location of a previous auto repair. They are not affiliated with the old shop. I have a couple vehicles a Yukon xl and a 2014 Kia Optima hybrid. I had made calls to a few other shops and they did not even want to look at my issues because it was a hybrid. I also did not want to go to the dealer did that with a 2012 hybrid and was not pleased with service or price. Mark took great care of me and David was able to find the issues and parts I needed quickly to get me back on the road. They also were able to help me with the 12v "starter" battery

Had hope this new neighborhood auto service might be a welcomed asset to support locally. Unfortunately it was the opposite. Bait a switch pricing over the phone. They found a part that was broken they could fix "while they were in there" fixing another unrelated issue and assured me the genuine gm part was $270. Said ok but I wanted the part number to see what they were fixing. Went to pick it up and got the part number. Looked it up while at the check out.
