Summit Animal Hospital's journey from inception to fruition was certainly an exciting one, one that was welcomed by the Eldersburg community. Prior to the construction of our facility, Dr. Felicia Neuman, with her years of experience in preventive and emergency veterinary care, became more and more aware of a need throughout her career.
Summit Animal Hospital is pleased to operate as a low-stress veterinary practice in the Eldersburg area, headed by Dr. Felicia Neuman. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Texas A & M University and has specialties in emergency and critical care, dentistry, geriatric care, and animal behavior.
We want your canine or feline friend to live a long, happy, healthy life just as much as you do. That's why Summit Animal Hospital recommends a comprehensive annual wellness exam at least once a year. We tailor our low-stress wellness services to your pet's age, breed, and lifestyle while taking the time to discuss their specific needs, including vaccinations, weight management, and behavioral training.
When the standard physical exam isn't enough to determine your pet's condition, Summit Animal Hospital relies on diagnostics for an internal evaluation, including digital dental and full radiography. We also maintain a full-service, in-house laboratory, where we can perform a number of tests to diagnose viruses, diseases, and other conditions.
Summit Animal Hospital is pleased to offer not only preventive, diagnostic, and surgical services for your companion, but daytime emergency services as well. We understand how distressing emergency situations can be when they involve a pet, since animals obviously can't speak to tell us what's wrong.

Dr Neuman was thorough in explaining different heart worm and flea and tick medication. She also spoke at length about different dietary supplements and best food options. I arrived exactly at my appt time and was told not to come in and to wait in my car. That they would call when I could enter. A few minutes later when they called I asked what the reasoning for that was and they said they didn't want dogs to cross paths in the waiting room. I don't think this was the actual reason though. I believe it had something to do with covid. I found out later that this was their first day back

I had Summit Animal Hospital recommended by several "local" people and I couldn't be more pleased. The COVID situation makes things more difficult but Summit personnel have made adjustments that work so well. My dog used to be nervous & worked up at a national chain, at Summit he is happy and wagging his tail non-stop. The Summit staff makes you feel you all the only person & animal they're serving. I would definitely recommend Summit for your pet needs.

Wonderful caring vet practice. I have went in without an appointment due to an emergency for my dog. Dr Neumann gave up her lunch date with her husband to come help us. Not once but twice! She is so kind and gentle with the dogs. My pit had a collapsed lung, dr Neumann took the time to show me the X-rays, answer every question we had, explained treatments and followed up every day. I knew my dog was in great hands. She is so patient with the animals. She had an emergency surgery and looked wiped out but she gave us all the time when it was our appt. sure we had to wait a bit, but she made sure

Took my dog in for anxiety during thunderstorms. They took us in and the vet was timid and really did not seem to check out my dog very thoroughly. She said she wanted to see if he had any medical issues that would cause it. She did a series of blood work and she would let me know. Mean while I could give him a natural supplement that they carry until the results came back. They were extremely expensive so I opted to shop

Quite simply the best vet experience we`'ve ever had. Immaculate office and exam space, Dr. NEUMANN is a gentle and caring provider, but also the most knowledgeable and thorough vet we've ever used. Very recently she performed a difficult surgery on our 13 y/o Lab. Excellent result and the process proceeded exactly as she had explained it.
This is a practice that values a very personal approach to you and your pets which we hadn't experienced before, and really appreciate.

My experience with Dr. Neumann has been great! Now I am an unusual case in that my cat actually likes to go to the vet because she gets to meet people and my cats loves people. But Dr. Neumann is patient and answered all of my questions thoroughly. She treated me and my cat with respect and her staff were equally as kind.
