First time there, saw them on google maps and noticed they had very good reviews. I took my vehicle in to get my tire looked at because it had a leak. Jeff greeted me and took my vehicle in to get looked at immediately. He came back minutes later a told me the issue, his team had it fixed in little to no time. I've never written a review here before but thought I would because it was such a positive experience. I would recommend Spikes to anyone. Even their staff that periodically came into the front room asked me if I had been helped. I can see why they so many great reviews.

Went in without an appointment, they said they were busy. I offered to just make an appointment and come in another time. The guy told me to give him a sec and he went to the garage to double check and realized that they could fit me in real quick. All I needed were two tires mounted and balanced and they did it with the quickness. And this is after Mr. Tire and Tire Depot turned me away because I didn't have newly purchased tires.
I made sure to grab a couple of their business cards, because they seem to be legit and I'm very new to this area. Glad I came across them. Thank you Spikes Auto!

I have used them twice within the last year and I have been very pleased. I work within walking distance from them and read the reviews and decided to give them a try. This past time I had a coolant leak so I dropped it off during my lunch break and they had it fixed before I got off work. They also did some cleaning up of my battery which I thought would need to be replaced and was told it didn't need to be. I have been telling everyone how much I trust them and will use them from now on.

I recommend this company highly for auto repair and tires. They worked on my 2007 Silverado when it needed a new water pump and told me everything else was good on my old truck. I told friends to bring their cars to Spike’s and they too liked the service. Honest and fair pricing. They told me they are competitive on new tires and when my current tires wear out I will see what Spike’s has to offer. Recommended without reservation.

Would not take my vehicles anywhere else in Mt Airy. Get fair treatment, knowledgeable staff, fair price for service and they took care of me when other local mechanics couldn't.
Found their business getting a second opinion on an oil issue for my Subaru. They gave me an honest prognosis and I have never gone to another mechanic since.

Just want to say thanks to Jeff at Spike's for going above and beyond in helping me out with my car. When I had to take it from Spike's to the "other place" for warranty work, I was given a hard time by the other place; as in, no way, we aren't covering that, and it was an $1100 repair. Jeff spoke to them and turned the situation completely around. All work was done by the other place, under warranty. Jeff saved me tons of $$ by speaking with them on my behalf. I will take my car back to Spike's every time it needs help and for sure not to the other place. :)

My son's late model Tacoma got a screw in one of his tires so I took it to
Spike's Auto Care for him.
I have been looking for a good auto service shop in Mount Airy. I found that shop yesterday.
Jeff and his crew fixed that tire and checked all the others. In addition, they were able to reprogram the Tacoma's computer to accept the sensors in his aftermarket wheels/tires which the local Toyota dealer could not solve.
Efficient, courteous, helpful, reasonably priced. Service was also performed with no delays.

I just couldn't let this go so I felt the need to post it. A while ago we spent a whole lot of money at Spikes trying to keep my wife's old car on the road. When we came back to review the check engine light we were told it was the thermostat code. As the car was not overheating and on it's last legs we decided against a new thermostat which was not necessarily needed but that's what triggered the light. After balking at that I was told the car needed a radiator flush, the coolant looked to be original from when the car was built in 2007. I didn't believe that so I took

The transmission on my SUV blew, and I had it towed to Spike's late at night based on the recommendation of the tow company (Geyer, which handled my vehicle carefully). I was a little apprehensive because I was completely at the mercy of this new-to-me repair shop, this is my only vehicle, and I haven't hit the lottery yet. I was reassured as soon as they called the next morning. Jeff explained that the trans cooler had failed, told me what that means and what was needed (replace the radiator and some hoses due to intermingled fluids, flush the transmission, clean the engine compartment

These guys saved our necks, our sanity and our vacation! We started our vacation early Friday and had a 5 or so hour drive ahead of us so we left in the morning to beat traffic. We were 2 1/2 hours from home and 2 /1/2 hours from our vacation spot when our check engine light came on and our van started misfiring. We drove it as long as we could until it became clear we had to stop before we caused more damage and before we were unable to drive it. I have been here several times and usually without even calling. All the guys are awesome and have stopped what they're doing to work on my car out in the parking lot. Seriously, if you have car issues, go to Spikes, they'll be honest and fair on everything. I've even pulled up as they are shutting down and Danny stayed to patch my tire.

So happy with the level of service I received. I had a window of about 2 hours to get a used car inspected before I purchased it, and Danny fit me in last minute at the time I needed. The team was super great to work with and their insight gave me confidence to move forward and buy. They wouldn't charge me so I brought it back for the upkeep I wanted before shipping the car across the country.
