We've all been there! We're driving down the highway, minding our own business, and out of nowhere that little red/orange light pops onto our dashboard. Your first thought, 'This can't be good.' The truth is, it's actually a blessing in disguise. The check engine light is meant to give you a heads up about what's happening under the hood.
Your vehicle's wheel alignment is constantly affected by the wear-and-tear of normal road travel. Hands down the best auto shop I’ve ever been to! The couple who own the shop are literally the nicest people ever! At the beginning of the pandemic my car needed work and they came and picked it up, did the work and dropped it back off. Not only are they nice and professional, their prices are insanely reasonable and they don’t try to tell you you need overpriced things or do unnecessary work. Today I went in and all of my tires needed to be replaced, which I knew I was needing and I opted to leave my car until tomorrow when the tires

I have been going to Alpine before the new shop was built. I only take my cars to them and now I have friends who also had great experiences and continue to go there. Jason is great with the customers and really pays attention to what the customer is saying. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable and his mechanics are well trained. I feel safe knowing they serviced my cars. If you go there take one of their free pens, they're great, and their info is on them. I carry one in both my cars!!!!

All the employees are deeply knowledgeable about, seemingly, every car type and possible issue. And they can fix them all reliably - at the cost and within the timeline they quote. I recently took my 2003 Porsche in with an issue and they took care of everything, saving me the 30 minute drive to the Porsche dealer and avoiding the high cost of Porsche labor and parts markup. And they tow at really reasonable cost!

The owners are on site and getting their hands dirty alongside the mechanics. All of them are deeply knowledgeable about, seemingly, all models of cars and their quirks.the friendly staff are all “car heads” as well and enthusiastic about the work. They fixed up my 2003 Porsche recently and solved for an electrical issue on time and within budget: who does that anymore?!!

Just had a horrible experience. Decided to get my car worked here, first timer. During my time here, where I waited for my car to be serviced, I experienced racism. This is highly disappointing and very upsetting to hear the comments being said and to know the opinions of the workers about other ethnicities. I will not be going back.

Have used Alpine for maintenance and repair twice and will be back. The first visit was for a scheduled maintenance for my Volvo. As I drove off after the repairs, it felt like it was new again (10 yr old vehicle)! That was enough to return.
The repair crew seems very responsible, everyone seems to get along and I was shown what needed to be replaced so I understood the repair. That is important to me, and many garages will not "allow" you on the shop floor or "forget" to save the replaced part. My service adviser was "David", and I would recommend him to anyone

I discovered Alpine Automotive by accident. Having purchased all of our cars at Motor Werks in Barrington, all of our cars were serviced there as well. As MW grew, the service became less impressive and more expensive. Had a 60,000 mile service in December 2017. Cost was approximately $1,200.00 ($700 was labor).
Two months later my 2013 Honda Pilot would not start, State Farm Insurance called Alpine to tow my car to MW. When I called ahead to notify the service department and they said they couldn't get to it until the next day. I mentioned having just brought it in for service but this fell

We had 2 appointments at 11am for oil changes. When we got there they only took one of our cars & said we would have to wait because there were no open spots at the moment to do both at the same time. We waited 50 minutes until they called us to bring our other car. When we got there they told us we would have to wait another 30 minutes before they took our second car because they took someone else before us even though we were less than 2 minutes away. What was the sense of taking our appointment? POOR SERVICE. We will never return. No apology or credit offered. Plenty of other places in the

Brought my car in to have a coolant leak checked on. Instead of telling me it was going to need hundreds of dollars of repairs... The owner brought me out to show me where it was leaking from and it just needed a new clamp on a hose. Now the part that blew me away... Told me no charge and to have a great day!!! I'll definitely be back for my servicing needs... Not only for their honesty but they had great coffee in the waiting area!!!

I've lived in the area for 11 years and had brought several of my vehicles to Alpine without problems. I recently had Alpine tow my car after a MVA. My car ended up with rear end damage after the tow, that hadn't been there before. The only damage from the accident was front end damage. How did rear end damage mysteriously appear? Alpine denied their driver did anything wrong on the first day. After that, the owner simply would not return telephone calls to discuss the issue.
It is obvious that new leadership at Alpine has taken them down a road of poor service and zero accountability

Having an excellent first experience with Alpine Automotive, servicing my '87 BMW. They have been professional, courteous, and have worked with me on price giving me really the best price available. I typically do my own work on cars, but between they're thoroughness and capabilities beyond the tools that I have at home, I've relied on them to do the more complex work. Definitely recommend Alpine Automotive!

Shady , shady , shady.businesses. Ive taken my truck.here and.it.needed.thousands. of dollars of work according to them and when I took it to a mechanic I trust it ended up being a couple hundred dollar problem. They offer free oil changes to get you in the door but then tries the hose you walking out. And don't trust them towing your car either things magically disappear out of the yard and they won't give up their security camera footage and the police wouldn't do anything about it either. When I brought up the missing items before I signed over the title to the wrecked car they

I have used Alpine Automotive a number of times over the years, first because of locatIon, but later because I trust them. They do a great job on my car for a reasonable price and also drive me home and pick me up when it's ready. And their shop is clean and friendly. I don't know why I would go anywhere else.

They charged $270 for diagnostics on an emissions check. They found rusted motor mounts, catalitic converter, O2 sensor and more. Any of which would cost more to repair than the car is worth. Seems like a phone call would have been in order early in the process. I think it's because my daughter dropped it off. Clip joint. Never going back.

I have had the worst experiences at Alpine Automotive!
Took an older vehicle to Alpine Automotive to have some maintenance done on it. The folks at Alpine wanted to up-sale, and unfortunately, I let them do some of the work that they suggested. They ended up disabling the air conditioning system when they replaced a (up-sale) heater valve. When I returned the vehicle to Alpine, they told me that the expensive computer module had ironically failed at that time.
They were not interested in checking the work that they had already done on the vehicle, and they insisted on changing out the module

I brought my new car to Alpine for the second oil change, (first was done at dealership).
After the service at Alpine my car was leaking oil. I brought it back, after a long time of inspection, I was told that the person who did the oil change at Alpine forgot to put everything back, but they now fixed it.
I took it in for the 3rd oil change back at the dealership. This was also because my car had been making a funny noise.
Well turns out, when I brought my car back to Alpine, they forced in a substitute bolt which caused the dealer to re-thread and put in the correct hardware. Which cost
