Welcome to the counseling office of Heidi Howard MA, LMHC, CDP and Equinteractions LLC. Heidi has worked with individuals, couples and families in the field of mental health for over 20 years. Heidi's extensive training has evolved over the years to help provide her clients with the most effective methods to help them reach their goals.
In addition to traditional therapy, Heidi is also the director of Equinteractions LLC and can offer Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. Heidi is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor as well as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional.

Services
Individuals (Children/Adolescents/Adults)- Heidi works with individuals with different needs, diverse background and from age 8 years and up. Couples (Dating, Partnered, Married, Separated)- Heidi works with couples in all stages of their relationships. Families- Much of Heidi's work with families is around helping parents and teens communicate more effectively, learning to set boundaries as well as psycho education and recovery issues.
For over 20 years I have been providing services in the mental health field to children, adolescents, adults and families. In my work with clients, my goal is to create a warm, relaxed and accepting environment, whether the challenge is an immediate crisis or an ongoing issue. Working in this field for many years has enriched my understanding of the capacity we all have to improve our lives.
Heidi has been involved with horses for over 40 years including showing, teaching, managing barns, raising foals and partnering them with horses to enhance humans well being.
For the past fifteen years Heidi has focused on utilizing Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) and Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy (EFP) in her private practice to help with anxiety, bereavement, ADD/ADHD, self-esteem, body image, life transitions, grief and loss, eating disorders, behavioral problems and addictive behaviors.Equine Assisted Psychotherapy is a respectful, gentle, yet powerful form of experiential therapy.
