We believe that every person is unique in their worldviews, beliefs and actions. At Liberating Lives Christian Counseling and Psychological Services (LLCC) each therapist is committed to a set of values that guide our worldview and direct our own paths as we help you on yours. The following will help you understand our mission behind our work.
The decision to enter therapy to move out of a stuck place is very brave and can be a bit scary. For each of us, understanding our own story helps us to better manage our perspectives and how they impact relationships, behavior and emotions. Rates: Most therapy is covered at least in part by insurance.
Psychologists use tests and other assessment tools to measure and observe a client's behavior to arrive at a diagnosis and guide treatment. Psychologists administer tests and assessments for a wide variety of reasons. Psychological testing may sound intimidating, but it's designed to help you by examining multiple areas of functioning.
Group therapy can help you realize you are not alone in experiences that may feel extremely isolating. Group therapy also gives you the opportunity to develop and practice a wide variety of skills as well as recieveing support and a safety net to express yourself. Our staff current offers the following groups.
At LLCC we offer approved clinical supervision through the Virginia Board of Counseling and the Virginia Board of Psychology and can provide clinical supervision in Virginia. Professional counselor/marriage and family/clinical social work via individual supervisor for practicum, internship, and residency placement.

😁 I have found answers to my many mental heath issues and effective treatment that have confused me for years. I finally believe I can get well with the proper help where once people thought I was hopeless. Prayer and sound scripture is used in every session so christian do not be afraid of this group.

While it appears they have changed locations, I doubt their services have changed.
I met with a LPC who is still working at this firm, so this only pertains to what I went through with her.
The LPC is not equipped to deal with patients who have baggage from their past. She wants to help you "open up the wound to let it bleed" but refuses to help you heal the wound.
Following my 1.5 years with her, it was recommended (by two difference therapists) that I file a grievance (regarding this LPC) with the licensing board. However, I chose not to because she was not worth my time. And she

I have watched a few friends/family members attempt to obtain counseling services from their founding person, Rev. Kevin Coward. He does not return phone calls within a reasonable period of time, the firm is deceptive in their billing practices as well. When someone is walking through a dark time in their lives or is in crisis, this is not the person to see. I cannot speak to the other therapists within the practice. If you are without an insurance plan the rate is $100.00 no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Do yourself a favor and find another person to work with who stands by their mission statement
