Andy Daniels is the current owner and he is the son of Frank who started the business in 1960 as a Mohawk service station. The company has evolved over the years but has continued its long tradition of family values and great ethics that started decades ago. When you first visit our shop, or call us on the phone, you will instantly find that we are some of the friendliest people in auto repair - anywhere around.

Andy Daniels started at Frank's Automotive as a small boy working in his father Frank's service station here in Tulare, CA. Frank started the business back in 1960 and Andy has taken over and helped the company thrive and evolve into an even more successful shop today.
My father Frank Daniels, Sr. started this business in a Mohawk Gas Station on Memorial Day weekend 1960. Some of you might still remember the station at 265 W. Inyo Street with the candy-striped poles and the drink box out front. My dad has always had a desire to help people. Even with a very limited budget, not only did he sell gas, but he had one hoist, or one lift, to service and repair cars and pick-ups.
Great service, friendly staff, frequent updates. I couldn't be happier with the clutch system replacement they did for me. My clutch (and car) has been doing great since their work performed in the summer of last year! Andy, Alex, Cesar and the mechanics and whom ever I may have missed are a bunch of great people to do business with.
Since 1960, Frank's Automotive Repair has been Tulare's family-owned shop that gets the job done right and with a smile. Amazing experience with this shop. I brought my car in under an emergency situation and they were able to find the issue and repair it. I will continue bringing my vehicle for repairs because not only were they great at what they do but the customer service was more than i can ask for. They helped me out throughout my process and were always updating me on my car repairs. You are in great hands when it comes to this shop and the people who work there.

First time going there to get brakes checked for my mother's vehicle. The whole experience was awesome. The gentleman working the front desk was extremely professional and knowledgeable, kind, and listened attentively to all the diagnostics I recently did. They provided a link and sent pictures of the brakes and recommended I do not replace them due to them having over 60% of life left. Other mechanics would of probably had me replace them to make a profit. The transparency throughout the whole process was great. Highly recommend this place. My truck has check engine lite was on my oil was marking 80
They took my truck in the next day fixed it my truck has no codes runs great
The service was amazing great communication with me keeping me posted with everything an waiting for my approval to fix the issue

I had the best service from here. I had just gotten off a graveyard shift and as soon as I walked in everyone was smiling greeting me offering me beverages and it was just so relieving to walk into an establishment where everyone was so amazingly nice!! They kept me posted on what was going on with my car and answered all my questions! I got called back into work and were so amazing about me being in a hurry!! Would definitely recommend them to everyone I know!! Thank you guys for having thee best customer service!

This shop is incredible. We’re on the road traveling to Sequoia and hit a piece of metal that damages the splash shield and leaves it hanging&touching the road. We stop by the shop when they just open and they’re nice to take us right away. In less than 20 minutes, it’s fixed. They’re not only kind and efficient but also do not charge us anything. I understand it may be something small but others could have charged us something especially we’re traveling. They are highly appreciated and recommended. I don’t know your name but thank you so much.

I went in here with high expectations of this place and they do have fantastic customer service but a friendly voice and smile will only go so far when they can’t get the job done right. I took my vehicle in for quite a few different services one of them being the A/C, I’m told I’ll get my vehicle back in 2 days at the most, I didn’t get it back until 9 days later and they told me they had someone test drive my vehicle to confirm that everything was working properly which I don’t see how that is when my front driver side wheel would lock up so bad my vehicle would get stuck the A/C would
