As a new client of Liberty Animal Hospital in Salem, OR., you can expect our full attention to your pet's needs. When you arrive for your appointment, you will be greeted warmly, and we'll walk you into an examination room after checking in your pet. In most cases, one of our veterinary technicians will start by asking about your pet's medical history, current condition and the reason for your visit, gathering data for the vet.
Our veterinarian, Dr. Mike Paoletti, who has been practicing in south Salem, OR. for over 11 years, will then examine your pet and ask you further questions. Dr. Paoletti will discuss our Wellness Plans to keep your pet healthy and happy. Our Independence vet retired last year & our cat, Dusty, was due for some routine maintenance. Found this great little place on Yelp & made an appointment.
We arrived a bit early and were immediately helped. Great helpful friendly knowledgeable staff and a wonderful Doc.
We have found a new vet!
Thanks guys

This place was amazing with my basset hound before he passed away and was amazing with my family’s other pets, but as of lately they have gone down hill. They are rude and unprofessional. I called on Saturday and told them what was going on with my puppy and they said to take her to an emergency clinic. I told them that I don’t have that kind of money, and I’m not fortunate to have people to just pay my vet bills.
Today I call again and the same rude nurse answers the phone Renee.
I tell her what’s going on with my puppy again plus the new symptom. She tells me they can’t see her and

I am new to the area and I had taken my dog, Linus, here only two times. The second time was to have him put to sleep. He was 13 years old, blind, deaf and had dementia. The Doctor and his staff were nice and expressed concern for both Linus and me each time. It was a very difficult decision for me to make as I had gotten him when he was 9 weeks old so he and I had been together a lifetime. I stayed with him till the very end. I was sad when I left him there but they assured me I should have his ashes back within a week or two. I called today, 11 days later to find out when I could pick up his

I love this place. Unfortunately and fortunately I've been blessed with a lemon dog. She costs me a fortune but I'll do anything for her. She has been battling chronic allergies with skin, ear, and eye infections non-stop for years. The previous vet just kept giving her low dosages of steroids and told me over and over "unfortunately this is the breed". Fine, I get it, English bulldogs have issues. Thanks and bye. Then I found Liberty animal hospital and they are SO great! They really wanted to see my dog get better so they tried little adjustments and she is finally back to

Hello,..our pup Mooji has been seen at this vet since last December in January he was seen for an infection on his chin,..he was seen again, same infection, a month later...a month after that infection was back, at which point we took him to Another, they did a culture( should have been done by Liberty) and found that my dog had a staff infection on his face...since, January....this vet is overwhelmed, overbooked, and his front dest will smile at you, and remain useless..Take you Animal somewhere else if you care for them...A Staff infection, For 4 months!!! Stay away...

The doctor was amazing and very informative and didn't leave out any details on what was going on with my very old pup. We take both our dogs here and soon our cat. The only reason I didn't leave a five star is because when I took my dog to the ER vet after she pulled a muscle in her paw on a Friday they didn't call me or fallow up until the next Wednesday. I even called that Monday to make her an appointment and told them. When I got the call on Wednesday the girl told me she was just now checking voicemails. Also the tech that helped me when my dog got surgery she was a little

I'm really surprised by the two negative reviews here because our experience at this vet has been nothing but positive. The veterinarian we see here is so compassionate and loves animals. The longer operating hours are extremely helpful, the prices are right, the front desk is attentive and we are given full and accurate information, in a caring way. (We do not see the vet referenced in the long negative review below; we see the other one. We also have had nothing but decent treatment from the receptionists.) We've had to deal with some tough things with our aging cat (nearly at the end

Thanks to doc and staff for being so kind and understanding. Our chihuahuas got into the shop and started nibbling on rat poison pellets that had spilled. Stupid . We immediately looked up a vet and took them here. They induced vomiting easily and the little chihuahua puked and there were a few pellets. They treated with charcoal and assured us we caught it in time. No huge vet bill, very nice people.

My little girl betty boop had trouble with her eye. She rubbed it on the floor constantly. We saw the doctor here. He was very patient and kind to her. We used the medicine prescribed and she seems to be okay now! They have a promotion where the first visit is free! They did an awesome job. I would have been just as pleased if it were not a free visit! Thank you liberty animal hospital for everything!
