Hardscaping Hardscape, or hardscaping consists of the inanimate or lifeless elements of landscaping, especially any masonry work or woodwork. For instance, stone walls, concrete or brick patios, tile paths, wooden decks and wooden arbors would all be considered part of the hardscape.
