Wow, awesome. If your like me, overwhelmed with reviews, stop reading reviews and hire Home Handyman Service.
Louis (owner) was super responsive from the initial inquire to final wrap-up. I had to get my back roof (2nd & 3rd) floor decks (flame down) redone along with railings and a considerable amount of water damage.
The team did an awesome job, quick and professional. Loving my new roof deck.

This company has been working on the roof of the house next door to mine for i believe going on about 8 days now. I grew up working residential construction including roofing and there is no way i would ever hire these guys. They show up sometime between 8 & 8:45 a.m. on the days they actually show up, by 9:30 they are taking a break, by the time they start actually working its time for their hour lunch and then they start cleaning up to leave by 2:30/3 p.m. The employees have quite the mouth while they are working and have been nose to nose in the middle of the street with each other so i have

Thought I had a major issue over my windows and Louis showed up and told me that I really had a minor issue and he could have just done the job and charged me hundreds if not more but he was very fair on price. he did a very professional job. Very friendly and informative. Will use him again without a doubt.

I can't believe getting a roof was this easy!
I started the process of finding a roofer with some trepidation. I have an old victorian in the Elmwood village/west side that I knew needed a complete tear off along with some fire damage that needed repair. I got the obligatory 3-5 quotes and was a bit overwhelmed with the expense. We have a very steep roof with dormers, additions and other twists and turns. A complete tear off plus major carpentry work is no small investment!
I noticed while doing the walk through with the roof estimators that everyone seemed to downplay the expense

The day of the heavy summer rain, the roof in the back of my house began to leak. I freaked right out, called every roof business on Yelp. Louis called me back, calmed me down, asked me appropriate questions, told me honestly that while he could come out in a few days to assess the situation, it would be 2 weeks or so before he could fix it. I got other estimates, and Home Handyman Service was not the lowest bid, but I so appreciated the time he took to speak to this crazy lady calmly, using words I could understand. After the repair, there was a bit of an issue that he fixed immediately

The name of this company is probably not helpful. This is a well known contractor in the city, owned by Joe Gott. His business is listed as a general contractor, but I only have experience with his roof work.
They did a residential roof for me about six years ago. Lowest bid (of four), and they were recommended to me. Bids ranged from $11K to $18K. They were a one crew company, and Joe came out and met me and also handed me the bid. They took six months to get to my job (instead of three as promised), which is why I give them four stars, but they did a good job, took care of clean up,
