What a pleasure it was to visit Dr Patel! She made my appointment about as pleasant as one can visiting a dentist. She very professionally gave me a checkup and repaired a cracked tooth, and spent the time to shape the result to my satisfaction.
Meanwhile we were chatting away, so that really made the experience a pleasant one!
my only regret is that she didn't have any home baked cookies that she mentioned she had baked during the COVID lockdown! :)
I will certainly return soon to get my teeth cleaned, and I cannot recommend her too highly!

Dr Patel has been the most kind, pragmatic dentist I've ever know. Her congenial bedside manner puts everyone at ease. She's gentle with her approach to cleaning and never does anything unnecessary. For example, another dentist wanted to do 4 fillings for my 5-year old and Dr Patel looked and said: "he's gonna lose these teeth anyway. Get him to rinse with ACT and put toothpaste on the floss you use so it gets on the soft spot. Do that and it will be fine."
Now, the whole family drives 20 minutes to get to her!

Her reviews already speak for itself but why not one more. She is the best dentist my husband and I have ever had. She's very genuine and I feel very comfortable around her. She even followed up after I went in for a tooth pain. She's super fast in responding back to me and I've had overall a great experience.

Dr. Patel is incredible! In my search for a local dentist, I stumbled upon her positive online reviews and was not disappointed. The office is clean and welcoming as you enter, then you meet Dr. Patel and are comforted by her warm and kind spirit. Her chairside manners are respectful, and she has a gentle yet thorough cleaning technique. I couldn't be more happy to have found a family practice so close to my home, I've already made my husband and daughter both cleaning and exam appointments. I love it when Yelp gets it right! :)

I went to see Dr Minal two years back when she first started her office in Redwood City. I went there 4 times. She did deep cleaning to me. Compare to other dentist what I go to later, for same service, she definitely charged more. Maybe My insurance is out of her network, but she didn't inform me.
Also, since she charged ~$400 per section for deep cleaning, and it easily reached annual maximum insurance coverage after clean 4 sections, she didn't even tell me that I need cavity filing and wisdom teeth extraction.I felt pain and went to see two other dentist, they both told me I need

Best dentist ever! I grew up in a small city far out in the Central Valley and always thought Smile Care or any of those chain organizations were the only place to go to for dentist appointments, and I HATED it. The service is poor, the hygienists/dentists aren't patient oriented, and the wait times are insane.

My roommate broke two of his front teeth in a bike accident on a Friday evening. We live close to Dr. Patel's office, and after phoning around a few other places, we got the best vibe from her receptionist so we made an appointment for Saturday afternoon. My roommate was able to go in and have an evaluation. Dr. Patel came in the next day to finish taking care of his teeth, which needed to be extracted. This was a Sunday, a day when she normally does not work, and my roommate of course really appreciates that she came in on her day off to help him!

Great experience every time. Very friendly and professional. Willing to schedule your visit whenever convenient for you. I had some minor gum issues and Dr. Patel recommended to maybe try to airfloss. I did and my gums are perfect now. I also love to airfloss. Much better than using the standard floss. You will miss out if you don't try Dr. Patel.

Dr. Patel is awesome! I was told by another dentist I needed a serious procedure almost like a root canal, and Dr. Patel x-rayed me and realized the cavity was not major at all. She drilled and filled it and it's been fine ever since.
She's professional, friendly, and her office is nice. It's easy to visit and get in and out quickly. Plus dental help!

By far the most gentle dentist I have ever had. While I myself do not currently have kids, I would highly recommend to bring your children, those who fear a trip to the dentist office, or those with especially sensitive mouths.
Parking is ample. Location is great. Office is clean and welcoming. She's also ridiculously nice. I also really appreciated how she would talk about what she was doing through the process and would repeatedly check in with my comfort level. Highly highly recommend.

Dr. Patel is the nicest dentist I've ever had. Her office is conveniently located near downtown Redwood City. And it's clean and simple. No frills.
I first found her and made an appointment online through ZocDoc. I can manage and reschedule all of my appointments online, which is really convenient.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Patel. She did my cleaning & exam, which is great! I cannot remember the last time the dentist actually did my cleaning! She was gentle yet thorough. She was very patient with all of my questions related to preventive care. She has a holistic mind and does not recommend dental procedures if they are not necessary.
She also took the extra step in trying to figure out if Invisalign can transfer my records from the previous dentist (who was not great) so I can buy new retainers.

What a lovely experience. My son had his first dentist appointment with Dr. Patel, and she was gentle, comforting, and made it a wonderful experience. My own visit was comfortable and went quickly and without incident.

I finally had a chance to go to the dentist after a year and a half hiatus (I'm sure the only reason I got this chance was due to Dr. Patel's flexible schedule - she will actually come into the office on weekends for her patients - most of my previous dentists generally worked Mon-Thurs which made it impossible to set something up with my work schedule).
I set an appointment @ 10AM on a Sunday - arrived 15 minutes late but luckily had no wait and went straight into the dental chair. Dr. Patel asked about my dental history, if I had any additional concerns and then went over the plan for the checkup

I am glad to find Minal as my dentist. I went to her for cleaning/exam first and she did a great job. Next time, I went to her for filling. She was able to accomodate me the same day and I am glad that she is flexible about it. One of my tooth had a major cavity and she did not use Anesthesia until is was really required, I think its a good thing.
She is very up to date on the subject and always explains before hand to the patients about what she will be doing. She is very caring doctor.
