The Frank F. Gigler Funeral Home was established in 1959, the same year that Lower Burrell was incorporated as a city. Owner and founder Frank F. Gigler, Jr is the longest standing member of the Pennsylvania State Board of Funeral Directors within the Alle-Kiski 3 county area.

The funeral home has a business manager, to handle the financial arrangements, and a licensed insurance agent, Mr. Frank F. Gigler III, is on staff to handle pre-need funeral policies.Gigler Funeral Home offers funeral and cremation services for all religious denominations and ethnic nationalities, and has a full line of metal and wood caskets, vaults, cremation urns, and clothing in our display room.

Our facilities offer two viewing rooms, with a wide selection of caskets, vaults, cremation urns, and clothing to help you in planning a funeral service.

The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) furnishes upon request, at no charge to the applicant, a Government headstone or marker for the unmarked grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery around the world, regardless of their date of death. When the grave is already marked, applicants will have the option to apply for either a traditional headstone or marker, or a new device (available spring 2009).
