Gem Healthcare
GEM Health Care Services was founded in 1994 by Gaye Moffett, a registered nurse. She is the first Vice President of the Home Care Ontario Board of Directors, taking over as President this year. Gaye wanted to work with the best caregivers to give the highest quality care. GEM is a full-service health care company, privately owned and operated in Canada.

We have been providing privately-retained health care for more than 26 years. While we pride ourselves in being one of Canada's largest independent health care agencies, we offer personal service when it comes to meeting your needs. GEM was originally accredited in 2002 through Accreditation Canada.
Services
Prefer to stay at home but need assistance with personal care, light housekeeping and meal preparation. Have limited mobility due to age, illness or injury and need help with daily living tasks. Nursing services: Private care provided by registered or registered practical nurses depending on your needs.
The GEM Health Care Services N95 Mask Fit Testing program is based on the standards and procedures of the respiratory mask manufacturer (3M), the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care and the Ministry of Labour. They also conform to the Canadian Standards Association and the National Institute of Safety and Health.
Looking after your feet will help keep you mobile. If you cannot reach your feet or see them well enough to care for them safely, it may be time to book an appointment with our Foot Care Nurse. Professional foot care begins with a thorough nursing assessment of your feet and includes a health questionnaire and visual inspection.
The GEM HCS Health Protection Clinic is your best defence against influenza outbreaks, helping ensure your employees will be there when you need those most! These clinics can be offered at your location, for larger groups, or at the GEM HCS office, by appointment. Demonstrations of proper hand washing, the simplest, most effective way to prevent the spread of disease.
Nurses provide personal, one-on-one care. They are trained to perform specific and skilled care such as administering medication and intravenous therapy, caring for wounds, foot and nail care services at your home, following the physiotherapist's plan, helping with pain management, as well as care after surgery or care of a chronic or terminal illness.

This company is a scam. They don't and refuse to pay holiday pay and overtime. They even think having you sign an employment contract nigates them from their lawful responsibility. Employees are only there to make the owner money.
