Gary was awesome. He completed our appraisals on time - even though our job was at a very busy time. He was responsive on the phone, called back right away, answered all our questions and did exactly what he said he would. If I could give Gary 100 stars, I would. We were recommended by our pool construction company, Athlon, due to a messy permit situation over an appraisal needed to finish our outdoor patio. The city was requiring us to get an appraisal on a new post and beam and wanted a la cart costs for the area- something we had never heard of. Gary took it upon himself to stay late, take our calls, asked to be on the email, and was ultimately the one who told the city that the appraisal was unnecessary (due to a 2018 appraisal) and that the space was not an issue and work was under cost.

Gary recently performed an assessment of our family home. Every aspect of Gary's work is outstanding. His survey of our home was comprehensive. This was reflected in his final appraisal report. It was 35 pages long and highly detailed. The report included a detailed comparable property analysis, which included six separate properties, with location maps and photographs. All in all, I was very happy with Gary's work. He is a consummate gentleman and I would not hesitate to recommend him.

After dealing with other companies who simply disappeared on us Gary was fantastic breath of fresh air!! He was professional and took his time on our initial call, getting the information and really making sense of all we needed from him. Without hesitation, I would hire Gary again to conduct an appraisal. In our most recent experience, we bought the home directly from the owner, without the involvement of a realtor. My siblings, father and I needed a retrospective drive by appraisal for tax purposes because we sold the house after my mother passed in 2017. We had our house appraised for a refi a couple weeks ago. Gary was polite and friendly from the beginning. He was very flexible to my schedule, which is extremely appreciated being a mommy of two with a full time job AND during the holidays.
He was very thorough in his inspection, asking pertinent questions when indicated and taking photos throughout the house and property. He also was receptive and appreciative of the documents I gave him showing our recent remodel and updates to the house (not necessary but always helpful!) as well as old permits I had handy. I've worked with Gary several times in the appraisals of my properties and he has been very professional and easy to work with. All I can say is what a pro! I called at 3:18pm and received a callback from Gary at 4:04pm and a voice message with helpful details that helped direct the answers to my appraisal questions. I called him back and he spoke with me some more over the phone. I could not receive appraisal services from him as my situation pertains to a commercial appraisal, however he is definitely on my callback list if i have a need for a residential appraisal.

I have never met Gary in person but I had a very smooth transaction with him. One of my residential properties has become a rental and since my two years are almost up, I wanted to lock in my Section 121 exclusion while I can still claim it as a personal residence.
