Services
We are proud to provide a state-of-the-art facility for the highest quality dental care available. It is one of our top priorities to protect the well-being of our valued patients. For this reason, our office meets and surpasses all OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) and CDC (Center for Disease Control) standards.
Dr. Koop is a graduate of The University of Southern California School of Dentistry and has been practicing dentistry since 2010. Prior to making the Smokey Mountains his home, Dr. Koop practiced in both Arizona and Pennsylvania. Kwynn and his wife Annie have three children: Kamdyn, Kylee and Karter (keeping a Koop family tradition of "K" names going back several generations).
While at our office, we make sure that you receive the highest level of service and ensure that our dental work is of the highest quality. To ensure that you maintain great oral health, this level of quality needs to extend into your personal oral hygiene routine. We can help you establish a dental hygiene routine that will keep your teeth healthy and white.
Dental implants are designed to provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The person who has lost teeth regains the ability to eat virtually anything and can smile with confidence, knowing that their teeth appear natural and that their facial contours will be preserved.
Mini dental implants are about half the size in diameter of a regular dental implant. This offers many benefits, and they can also be used in situations where regular implants cannot. If an implant needs to be placed in a narrow space, mini implants are the preferred method because of their smaller size.

Best dentist ever!!! I am super scared of dental procedures. I didn’t want to spend too much on sedation for a tooth removal though. I asked about the laughing gas, and they said that would make me just not really care as much. Well, I was scared to say the least. Everyone was super nice, and made me more laid back. They gave me the max allowed… for the gas, and waited a good bit of time so I felt really relaxed. Dr Koop was amazing with the Novocain too! He made it so I didn’t feel a thing! I was shocked! The tooth came out fast, and painless, and I couldn’t believe it

Extremely disappointed in this establishment.. it all comes down to money
After calling to confirm they took our insurance only to find out after the fact they did not and were not in the net work.. they failed to tell u this from the beginning.. had they done so I wud not be writing this review
My wife went for toothache !! After he looked at the tooth I was presented with a cost analysis for treatment.. the cost was outrageous far from previous experiences for this treatment and more than double to what I would have paid in FL
Obviously we decided otherwise.. the lady explained if we did elect

Beautiful office with the best of everything, but then you are paying for that when you get dental services. Very pricey for cleaning, which include a flouride treatment whether you want it or not. I had fluoride treatments when I was a child and prefer not to have that toxin in my system ever again. Cleanings, as quoted by their office, were around $225-$250 and included all extra procedures whether you wanted them or not. You decide....basic cleaning, which I do every 6 mos. normally run around $100 or so, not much more. Disappointing attitude from the dentist... somewhat condescending.

I started going to Carolina Smiles in July this year. I've had a root canal (molar), a wisdom tooth extracted, several fillings and a scaling and root planing (deep cleaning of teeth below the gum line). I have nothing but good things to say about Dr. Davis and his staff. They are always so friendly and accommodating. Dawn has assisted with almost all of my dental procedures and she is just a sweet, cheerful person. Tina has done my cleanings and she is great! The office staff (Yvonne, Heather and Emelia) are always friendly and helpful. I've never had a long wait and never had any
