GroundedBodywork
If you are someone who experiences chronic or accute pain, is recovering from surgery, or just wants to improve the qualitiy of your active lifestyle, I can help you feel better and learn how to maintain your health goals. GroundedBodywork is designed to improve your body and mind's well-being, making measurable changes in the way you feel and move.

GroundedBodywork is my response to our active and stressful lifestyles. In my view, the key response to stress is learning how to build resources by addressing patterns that cause disfunction and discomfort. My approach includes assessing your body's movement and postural patterns, and then applying integrative massage techniques to release tight muscles and faciliate weak muscles in order to create whole body and mind balance.
Services
I love and consider the work I do my life's path. I have extensive training and practice in advanced massage, bodywork, yoga and mediation. My work is based in over 10 years in the healing arts, with over 1000 hours of training at Alive and Well, The Institute for Conscious Bodywork in Mill Valley, California.
The focus of GroundedBodywork is to help clients relax, encouraging the nervous system to be more receptive to soft tissue and structural work. Once relaxed, we address specific issues, chronic or acute. Offering therapeutic Bodywork which has a more in depth and specific approach to your bodies needs than regular massage found at spas, resorts, and facilities of this type.
One of the best benefits of a deep tissue massage is the increased blood flow it causes. Because massage therapists are applying so much direct pressure on the muscles, this increases the blood circulation throughout your body. As a result, increased blood flow boosts the oxygen supply to all of the tissues in your body.
Most people find reflexology, for the most part, to be very relaxing. If you feel discomfort, be sure to tell me so we can work within your comfort level. He or she should work within your comfort zone. Some areas may be tender or sore, and the reflexologist may spend extra time on these points. The soreness should decrease with pressure.

I have had Jess’s healing body work for 2 hip replacements, 2 sciatica flare ups, a dozen shoulder along with ups and downs of life over the past 8 years. He has a special and gifted way of listening and working with different modalities to make your body feel better.

I consider myself a massage connoisseur and have had dozens if not hundreds of massages in my my life. Jess is the perfect combination of technique, intuition, and magic. I have been going to him for three years and he is simply the best.

I never write review of any sort but this time was a must. I just came from having a 90 minute massage treatment from Jess. I've had many many massages in the past and I always book with a woman therapist so I was a bit skeptical with him. This was honestly by far the BEST treatment I've ever experienced. Jess made me feel very comfortable as soon as we met. He was very professional and knowledgeable in his work. I was actually able to escape into my happy place for a bit. Something that I can rarely do. Thank you again Jess! I will spread the word and see you again soon!
