Services
Chesapeake Aerospace Engineering, Inc., provides engineering and certification services for aircraft products, modifications, and installations. Since 2000 we have satisfied customers and delivered high quality engineering results. We have over 25 years of combined experience in the business and have been involved in all phases of a project from inception to certification.
We bring simple solution to any product design. If you have an idea for a new product, we have the experience to design a certified, FAA-approved solution for you. Our team doesn't just have design experience-we've actually worked in the field and know what works and what doesn't. Our hands-on design approach means you have peace of mind knowing that the designs will work from prototype to certification.
During overhaul, you never know what challenges you will find. Liaison support during and major overhaul is critical for timely completion and return service of the aircraft. We provide the experience to solve the tough issues in timely manner so the aircraft can quickly return to service. Whether it is a standard repair for a unique repair our liaison engineers can provide concise instructions.
The documentation of any engineering task is of utmost importance, not only for certification but also for repetition and profitability. Our experience in aircraft product development, manufacturing, and certification qualifies us to offer a range of documentation services with confidence. Engineers are often blamed for fixing a small problem by reinventing the wheel.
Any new build, major modification, or installation on an aircraft has to be certified by the FAA to make it airworthy. The certification could be a Type Certification (TC), Supplemental Type Certification (STC), or a major modification and repair (Form 337). Our on-staff Delegated Engineering Representatives (DERs) can create and approve certifications for all 14CFR Part 23, 25, 26, 27, and 29 aircraft.
