Probably one of the worst property management companies ever. In particular, in my opinion, Keith Silva needs to find a new job and get the hell out of the industry. I have never come across such a person who could care less about the tenants who live at the property he "manages". I've heard numerous stories about this Keith dude and it fires me to hear what tenants have to go through dealing with this brainless monkey - also my opinion. In my opinion, Comet Realty is way better off getting rid of Keith and hiring someone who will take their clients seriously. Don't forget Keith

I had a great experience with Comet Realty & would highly recommend them when looking for a property management company in SLO. Layne was my property manager for just over 2.5 years and also helped managed us through the property sale process. She was very informative, friendly & thorough when educating my wife & I on our tenant rights and abilities. Not to mention how responsive she was to our needs. She always gave us ample heads up when service appointments were scheduled on the property & communicated to us each step along the way. Not an easy task for anyone involved in a tenant

Comet Realty managed my property for about 18 months. During that time tenants created thousands of dollars of damage to a custom home notably by bringing in an unauthorized puppy which peed all over the carpeting which needed totally replacing. The property manager, Keith Silva, failed to notice the additional dog. In addition he did not adequately manage property, screen tenants thoroughly, nor monitor tradespeople (for example duct tape put on a dryer exhaust pipe which was flagged by the gas company), such that owner had thousands of dollars of additional expenses and additional stress. Tim is awesome! I highly recommend working with Comet Realty when buying a home. My husband and I moved to San Luis Obispo from Seattle and were familiar with the market (so we thought). Tim has been a pleasure to work with in helping us purchase our future retirement home in Los Osos. Tim was responsive yet patient and gave us an honest assessment on whether homes were overpriced and areas to avoid. Hayley Townley is a miracle worker! She sold our home to a cash buyer in less than a week and we got what we wanted. We are out of state and in the middle of moving so when our renter said she was leaving at the end of the month we were overwhelmed. Hayley listed our home on a Monday and sold it the following Friday. She helped us with the cleaning and located a carpet cleaner. She was there to help every step of the way and reduced our stress immediately. She always answered our calls and emails in a very timely manner. We cannot recommend her enough!

Had an overall bad experience renting from this company. Keith was difficult to work with because he always took a while to reply to emails. We had a pretty significant mold problem and it took them a WHILE to act on it. Overall I would not recommend using this company to rent or to manage your property.
