The best authentic Mexican buffet with everything from menudo and Caldo to tapatios/flautas rice, beans, and a variety of enchiladas. There was even salad and tablitas, all the options under$10/person. It was Delicious and the service was friendly and courteous. Highly recommend to anyone in the area

The food was very unseasoned and bland. The restaurant has a buffet option yet the person has to serve you. The food was served in very little portions and you can barely hear what the server asks you. The waitresses were very sweet and the service was fast. Over all I think that El Patio deserves 2 stars.

Their food and service is incredible! As authentic as it gets when it comes to Mexican cuisine! Their house made tortillas make a world of difference.

Buffet is not usually the route I would choose, but I'm glad I did. Soups were awesome, generous with meat. Salad was great, and food is dished up by employees as a safeguard. We will visit again

Called in my order for some bisteak Ranchero tacos and was told it was a 30 min waiting. Waited 30 mins outside for them to tell me that they no longer had bisteak ranchero for my tacos and i specifically asked if they had some before putting in my order and was told that they did.

What is there to eat on a Sunday night in Del Rio, Texas? Luckily we found El Patio Del Rio. The staff were friendly and we all decided to go with the buffet because we were starving and wanted something quick. Decent, well-cooked Tex-Mex food. I had rice, beans, refried beans, enchiladas, open-faced tacos, french fries, corn bread, a grilled jalapeno, and fideo (vermicelli noodles in broth). El Patio Del Rio takes safety seriously, so the staff serve the buffet items onto your place. The portions are generous, and they encourage you to step up to the buffet as many times as you'd like

Service was nice however the food is not good. Ate at the buffet it lacked just about every seasoning even salt. The sides of salsa and guacamole tasted like they were at best a few days old. I'm not sure why it has such a high rating? Maybe they have new cooks or monday evenings are not the time to go.

The food was decent texmex. The buffet is served by staff. Sunday isn't the day. Waitstaff, bus boys & servers are overwhelmed. Walked in & the majority of empty tables were dirty. It took almost 15 minutes for waitstaff to notice we were seated. It's a nice restaurant just very understaffed for the amount of tables & patrons they believe they can serve.

First time I came here I didnt like the service or the food.
Second time around I decided to go for the buffet and the menudo was really good. Service was still a bit off. I liked several things that were offered in the menu. Prices are reasonable, was not crowded, food looked like it has just been freshly made.

Dec. 23rd 2017 9:00 pm I decided to order the to go perricos and cinco cinco nachos. As soon as she handed me the 2 plates they felt light. I took them home to family and they were the worst nachos i ever had, they were chips with beans ans avacodo. No tomato onion meat just lousy and i have always ordered burritos and enjoyed. That night i guess the cook wanted to go home. I will never order anything except breakfast in the morning from them again. They dont even deserve 1 star and i gave them a tip. $17 dollars later - Merry Christmas.

This was my first time to El Patio Del Rio, and most likely my last.

I chose this restaurant at random because their parking lot was packed which is usually a good sign. However I was disappointed with what was offered on the buffet.

They offered traditional ox tail soup, noodle soup (sopa de fideos) which had nothing in it except for noodles and was quite salty (and I like salty!); bean and cheese tostadas, chicken flautas, charro beans, refried beans, Mexican rice, Texan style enchiladas (gross), chicken fried steak with gravy (no mashed potatoes), ribs, fried chicken strips, a Mexican

Food was great, I get that the ladies did not want to be there so they had an attitude. What this place doesn't offer refills on drinks, I sat there with an empty glass, and my mom and I did not receive our chips and salsa like we were suppose to. No I do not recommend this place to anyone and if I could have given it no stars I would have.

We were in town to visit relative in the hospital. Went looking for a place to eat lunch. Passed by El Patio and parking lot was full so decided to check it out. They had Mexican breakfast and lunch buffet. Had the buffet and we're completely satisfied. Service was very good and friendly and courteous. Food was hot and fresh. Cake, fruit, and ice cream for dessert. Very clean. Recommend it highly.

Looked at the buffet, but decided on ordering off the menu. Service was "spotty," asked for water twice before we finally received it. Chips and salsa promised, but not delivered until reminded. I hoped seeing two THP eating here was a good sign, but not sure now.
The men's room was dirty and smelly with the toilet brush laying on the counter. NO paper towels to dry my hands.
The chicken enchiladas were just okay. My wife's chicken taco was good, large, and reasonably priced. I'll try a different place next time.

A decent place to eat Mexican food. We did not do the buffet but ordered off the menu. I had beef fajitas which were excellent and very well seasoned. Also there was a very generous amount of the meat on the plate. One criticism is the salsa which was very watery and didn't have much flavor. Needed a little more "heat" for my taste. Prices were acceptable.

I would recommend eating here. Don't know about the buffet though.

Everyone was friendly & the establishment was clean. That being said clearly the stars are for service & cleanliness. 2/3 of the carne asada plate is made of bone and fat. It took so long to get a burrito together by picking apart this mess, the rest of the food was cold. My husband took the chicken out of my enchiladas to make tacos because the amount of meat he got with the carne plate was literally enough for one taco. It took approx 30 mins to get two plates and most were eating buffet, so I don't know why it took the kitchen so long to crank out mediocre enchiladas and carne asada

The service was really bad. We waited a long time for the lady to bring the check and get a to go box. My friend had to go to the front desk and ask for one. No refills on our drinks. We ordered from the menu and my plate was getting cold, I think it was becuase the waitress let it sit for while. The food was good but the service was really bad.

Oh not to mention that it is a tex-mex restaurant but why in the world they play rock music? It does not go with the concept of a Tex-Mex restaurant

If you are looking for authentic Tex-Mex food in Del Rio this is a place worth trying.

The restaurant is very clean and even has a nice patio area. The hostess greeted us with a smile and the waitress was nice and very attentive.

They have a lunch buffet on the day I went but I wanted to try something off the menu. The buffet was well stocked and all the food looked nice. For $9 you are bound to find something you like.

I ordered the Enchilada Suizas which comes with refried beans and Spanish rice. The enchiladas were very good and the tomatillo sauce was excellent. The refried beans were
