I specialize in commercial and editorial photography with 20 years experience as a photojournalist in Georgia and Florida. I love working with people and have a special passion for classic portraiture.
I favor an approach that hearkens back to the work of the great pictorialists and the masters in old Vanity Fair magazines. The camera is a tool and with it, I try to capture the interplay between the subject and myself. I try to keep it simple, and so far, it is working. In 2012, I moved back to my hometown, Savannah, GA and am enjoying building my freelance photography business here.

Cooper is very professional, attentive, and accessible. With that being said, his photographs are beyond exceptional. Our recent pictures taken at the beach exceeded any expectations I had. I cannot wait to see several of them on canvas hanging in our home. I would highly recommend his services, as we plan to have additional photographs made later this year when in area with more family members!

Robert has twice come out the get photos of our 50's home on Tybee Island. Both times he has captured the essence and personality of Blues Away Cottage. He's a pleasure to work with - flexible, personable and he sends the images within a day or two or the shoot. Thank you Robert!

I was on a tight schedule and needed to get a headshot done quickly. Robert came highly recommended and now I know why. He immediately returned my call, came out to my house, set up his lights and background, and shot the photos that morning - enabling me to pick up prints later that afternoon. Further, he was professional, courteous, patient, and very pleasant and engaging throughout. He made the whole project easy and pleasant. I highly recommend him. Robert is very professional and as a realtor I understand the importance of having a professional head shot. While the prospect of getting my photo taken is not the most pleasant thing in the world, Robert made it fun and that put me ease and took the stress out of the process.
