Services
West Oaks Funeral Home was conceived by a small group of long time Hopkins County business people and funeral directors who were concerned with providing the community with professional and dignified funeral services from a Christian perspective.

While the primary focus of the funeral home always involved caring for families at the death of friends and loved ones, the founders also made a commitment to financial strength and stability for those with the wisdom and foresight to prearrange future needs.Continuing with that philosophy, West Oaks Funeral Home has associated itself with Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company (FDLIC) for prepaid funeral plans.
At West Oaks Funeral Home, we take great pride in caring for our families, and will work tirelessly to provide you with a beautiful, lasting tribute to your loved one. In addition to the services we offer, you will receive an online memorial that you can share with family and friends. While honoring your loved one is our top priority, we also want to help you through this difficult time.
When planning a service, you have many options available to you and we will do all that we can to provide a beautiful and respectful ceremony. No matter your choice, we can offer you a space to join with family and friends in grief, comfort and love. And above all, we will do our utmost to honor your loved one.
Interment will follow at Greenview Cemetery with Larry Nelson, Rick Jennings, Teddy Jennings, Dale Jennings, Tim Boney, Scott Kenley, Blair Kenley, and Jim E. Potts serving as pallbearers. J.W. Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Cumby Cemetery with his kids and grandkids serving as pallbearers.
When it comes to your final arrangements, shouldn't you make the decisions? The arrangements you make will reflect your exact wishes and desires. Pre-arranging your own service will help to ease the burden of your loved ones. It will also alleviate any questions, problems or differences, which can occur among family members.

Gayle, is amazing, the whole staff is. They have been taking care of my family for the past 10 or more years. They have helped my sister tremendously and I am thankful for them because it helped take some of the stress off of her. Thank you everyone for always being there.

Gayle , the director was rude and condescending, from the day we met with her. She was not able to assess the situation for what it was, A loving daughter and family of a man, who had been there all his life. vs a money grubbing younger wife of 40 yrs, only been married for 7 yrs. She made rude and snide remarks toward the family the day of the funeral, that the deceased gran daughter heard.

Because they make you feel wanted and cared for not just a number on the piece of paper

Truly, truly a great help in a time of sorrow. They handled my Mom's cremation. Even though it was an inexpensive funeral, I was never treated differently. No hard up sale, no pressure or pushed out the door. They were very professional. Handled most paper work and answered all my my questions.

Our experience with West Oaks Funeral Home.
The facilities were the nicest in town, by far, and they helped us sort things out during an obviously difficult time. They had lots of options available and were able to accommodate all of our less traditional requests.
On the day of mom's service, everything was taken care of beautifully and there were zero problems.
I'd like to give special thanks to the Funeral Director, Lorne Kellogg. His professionalism and patience were fantastic, and he helped keep the peace between some family disagreements.
Nobody ever wants to need these types of services
