Grew up in Moorhead, MN (Go Spuds) and graduated from Concordia College (Go Cobbers) in Moorhead with a Business and English degree. Obtained J. D. from William Mitchell College of Law in 1992. Lived in Detroit Lakes, MN (Go Lakers) for 14 years working in the resort business at Fair Hills Resort. Have been an Annandale resident for over 14 years.
