It was early spring in 1987 when Alan first started to do chimney cleanings for his own home. Jana began to recieve phone calls from friends for Alan to come and clean their stove or fireplace. He and Jana created Alan's Chimney Sweep from the popularity by word of mouth. Soon Jana was able to stay at home with their two children and to handle the business
